Dragon Ball Battles Again in New DS Screens on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Dragon Ball Z has been battling again in High Definition, and has a new fighting game for the DS - Ultimate Butoden.

Back in November Japanese magazine Shonen Jump confirmed the new game and now publisher Namco Bandai has revealed new screenshots of protagonist Goku, friends and foes doing battle. You'll be able to select a huge cast, with the story spanning the three main DragonBall Z arcs - including Cell and Buu.

Can't believe no one's commented yet?

Anyways, I'm quite happy with this little addition, especially if it makes it over here.

I know there've been a shitload of DBZ fighting games, but to have a polygonal fighter on DS instead of the style SSW2 used AND have it look all cool 'n draweringsy is still enough reason for me to get this. If the gameplay is solid, that is.

And let's face it, after making this same game over a 100 times on different platforms, what're the odds it won't be a solid little game?

I can't be arsed with DragonBall Z anymore, for me it's been there, done that! However I would like to see the Kai/HD remake of the series again at some point. Like most fighters the DBZ line really got boring after the first few games!

That said, Hyper Dimension for the SNES is still made of awesome!

I never used to be overly obsessed with it, I just really like it, so I guess I haven't done it enough yet =P

Plus, I only found out about it when it came to mainstream cartoon channels and all, which helps. =)
