Wii Remote Plus: November 5th in Europe on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo Europe have set two dates to launch the upcoming Wii Remote Plus controller: November 5th, and 19th with Flingsmash.

The new controller, which combines the standard Wii Remote guts with MotionPlus technology, will come in four swanky colours: white, black, pink and blue.

The standalone model is out November 5th.

As hinted at before, there'll also be a bundle including FlingSmash out two weeks later on the 19th.

In the new MotionPlus-exclusive game sees up to 2 players controlling two heroes shaped like balls, Zip and Pip. Together you venture through platforming worlds, using the technology to control the angles the balls are flung. Our new circular buddies can be transformed into all sorts of objects for a variety of different puzzles and challenges.

Just before December is a good time to release the bundle, if it's a fun game word of mouth will have carried to parents after the individual release.

I still don't know much about FlingSmash, that may be partly due to the technical difficulties the game was having at E3. The media summit in the US didn't throw much light on it also, everyone was concentrating on PhotoDojo. ( I can't believe we're still waiting for that - US gamers got it free on a public holiday!)

It does look like a lotta fun, it's also very Artoon like in it's graphical style. The two characters look very cute, sorta like those little Ribena men in the old ad's that would jump up and "wooo!" at the end.

I wonder what colour the Wii Remote Plus is, in the bundle. I may pass on the bundle and just get the game if there's blue one as I expect, I wanna get two black ones.

Has C3 had any hands on time with this?, "related" isn't showing anything.

At first, I was thinking that we would get FlingSmash and the Wiimote+ for the price of a regular game, but now that doesn't look too likely. I hope FlingSmash isn't a full priced game and the Wiimote+ isn't the price of a Wiimote and a Motion+, or things are going to be very expensive.

It's definitely a full price game.

It's very likely to be slightly cheaper if you buy the bundle rather than separately. I'm guessing five pounds cheaper.

It's been out in Europe for ages.

Has C3 had any hands on time with this?

Just check the 'Preview' tab of the Game Page... Smilie

If it's like £30-£35, I wouldn't mind getting it with the remote.

The game looks fun, I like the character design.

I'm downloading it now, thanks Smilie I blame the search function, whenever I searched for it a message would pop up saying no software available at this time...I may have treated the title as one word though.

Thanks.
