With 2012 the tenth anniversary of the Kingdom Hearts series, Square Enix will have surprises in store - but not Kingdom Kearts 3.
Fans continually long for news and details from the long overdue true successor to the growing series. After a decade of Square Enix and Disney RPG loving, some have hoped for Kingdom Kearts 3 to release sometime in 2012 to celebrate the franchise's birthday.
Speaking to Japanese magazine Dengeki (translation via IGN), Tetsuya Nomura did state for the record that "just because it's the 10th anniversary, Kingdom Hearts 3 still won't be out."
Kingdom Hearts first summoned legions of fans back in 2002 with the debut adventure on Sony's Playstation 2.
Fans can still get their fix in the meantime, however - with Re:Coded for DS, Birth by Sleep: Final Mix for PSP and the latest project for Nintendo 3DS.
