Nintendo are going for an all out push for the latest Dragon Quest entry, with major advertising and a chunky Iwata Asks interview for the DS game.
Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies is touching down in North America today and has seen the likes of actor Seth Green in a series of commericials, and more recently a 40 minute video interview between Nintendo president Satoru Iwata and Square-Enix's Yuji Horii and Ryutaro Ichimura.
Speaking to GameInformer, Ichimura describes the inspiration behind the new game as The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, even citing the classic Diablo as one of the games the team studied to try and nail down "motivation control" to try to drive players to search for better and stronger weaponry.
Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies is out from today July 11 in North America and Japan, with Europe following slightly later on July 23rd.
