More New Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Screens on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Sega have released a handful of new screens from the opening level of Sonic the Hedgehog 4, Splash Hill Zone at sunset.

This time round Sonic's working ever so hard that it's sinking into night-time. The prickly hedgehog is desperately trying to get home to catch a dose Eastenders and chomp on a well-deserved Chilli dog. Well, not really, but we're now seeing the level in a slightly different light, much like the changing design between acts in Sonic the Hedgehog 3.

Sonic will also be heading online in the form of leaderboards, confirmed on Nintendo's game page, where precision is key to earning those tattoo worthy times.

So without further adieu, the latest snaps courtesy to SEGA's Facebook page.

Those pictures look absolutely brilliant, I love the orange! I hope they can make Sonic a bit orange too!

I wonder if this will have what some games have incorperated into them and the day changes to night progressively

Looks very nice, am warming to the idea of Green Hill zone rehashed, hopefully they'll get Sonic's physics right - I can't see why it's so hard to!

It's really looking great! wow these really get me excited for it now.

Spikes? Rings? Springs!? What kind of Sonic game are they making here!?

Looks good though, hope it plays just as good. Smilie

There is a nice twist on the special stages. You have to get a certain number of rings before you can go any further. Seems to looking good.

This is probably Green Hill Zone Act 3 or something rather than a day/night cycle like in Animal Crossing or Zelda.

Looks pretty awesome so far, looking forward for more game play vids of this Smilie
