Unity Technologies, the provider of the Unity development platform that enables console-quality games for the Web, iPhone and Nintendo's Wii system, has announced that leading educational games publisher Knowledge Adventure (KA) is developing its award-winning JumpStart 3D Virtual World on Wii using the Unity engine.

Trusted by over 30 million parents, the JumpStart brand has been a leader in the educational software market for over 10 years. With the entrance into the console market, Knowledge Adventure continues to evolve JumpStart to a multi-platform brand delivering content into whatever form parents and kids desire.

"It's fantastic to have Knowledge Adventure on board - this is a great example of how our technology attracts some of the biggest brands in the world. We're especially pleased with how Knowledge Adventure is using Unity to branch out to the Nintendo's Wii system and I think it goes to show how we're able to deliver to cross platform development tools."
- Nicholas Francis, Chief Creative Officer and co-founder of Unity.

"We chose to work with Unity because it's a cutting-edge game engine that allows us to seamlessly transition between versatile gaming platforms, which gives us a tremendous advantage in the marketplace. The Wii system is the fastest growing for kids and it represents a huge opportunity for us to leverage our trusted brand and leading market share in kids' games."
- David Lord CEO of Knowledge Adventure.

Knowledge Adventure and The Learning Company made some of the best Educational games ever. I'm sure teh kiddiez will at least like this.

It requires great courage to look at oneself honestly, and forge one's own path.

I remember my first jump start game was a math game. i havent play it since i was young maybe 9 or 10 years old thats nice to hear that they will make it for a well known system and maybe even help some peple get into the gameing universe.
