A potty-shaped attachment for riding things? A little out there, yes, but a football shaped one for throwing? It's new patent time!
Howard Cheng, Vice President of Research and Development at Nintendo of America, filed the attachment earlier this year. Essentially it's an American football-shaped ball with slots to attach a Wii remote and nun chuck, used to detect body motions with players needing to shift left or right to dodge tackles, with speed dependant on jogging motion. Strap your hand in and the force exerted gives your on-screen player a throw, or two.

What do you think of the idea, could something like this work - or is it another pointless strap-on for Wii owners?
