Pokémon Gold/Silver Remakes Footage

During this week's Pokémon Sunday show in Japan, new footage of the upcoming Pokémon Gold and Silver remakes was shown.

As well as the quirky bunch of presenters and their accompanying cosplay pokemon, there's a demonstration of how the pedometer works and how to raid a shop of all its items.

Did anyone seriously doubt this?

I cant wait to see it. I hope the story in kanto isnt slapped in this time.

Seems like they are working harder on the music for these remakes, and they aren't going "trumpet" crazy like in R/S/E (and to a lesser extent D/P/PL) I do know that they totally changed the feel and mood for much of the remade songs in FireRed/LeafGreen, so maybe they're making up for their shortcomings with this seemingly perfect remake of G/S/C.

The music is FR/LG was horrible. I can't believe they remixed 8-bit sounding music and made it sound worse. Smilie

But yeah, I'm pretty optimistic here too. Also I remember someone whining about "Johto's autumny feel" being gone.

#1 - I didn't think the original was particularly autumny
#2 - Just a little while later I saw some screens with rich red leaves all over the ground, how's that for you pessimistic nostalgiafags!

So yeah, sounds like the perfect remake (except Kris).

I really don't think it was slapped in as much as you think it was compleatly fine the way it was Agreeable on the trupet crazy It not a perfect Remake but it's up there

To be honest with you, I really wish they wouldn't redo the music. I mean, how can you make this better?:

My favourite is the music in Golden Rod City.

The main thing I didn\'t like about Kanto in the original G/S/C was the lack of places like the Safari Zone / Seafoam Islands. Hopefully these remakes include them.

Also, you can now assign two items. You simply have to select them on the touch screen (I think). Happy Days!! Smilie

Safari Zone has been confirmed.

And yeah, hopefully Kris will make a cameo appearance. But they\'re both essentially blank avatars for you. They don\'t really have distinct personalities, unless you\'re familiar with the anime and Marina.

Reason I liked Kris was because of blue hair. Smilie

and general hotness as well.
