Nintendo Dominates UK 2009 Charts (Update: Revised Data) on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo has come top in both the individual and multiformat charts in the first half of 2009 with Wii Fit, Play and Mario Kart.

In the UK The big Wii three has consistently dominated the charts, alongside Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games and the debut adventure for Professor Layton. Even when combining multiple console figures for the big core franchises, Street Fighter IV, Resident Evil 5 and FIFA 09, Nintendo's Wii Fit triumphs at the top of the pack.

The overall UK console installed base (including portables) now stands at 24.2 million units, working out to be at least one console per household.

Iam shocked Killzone 2 up there *sighs* wii fit......

I hope Sports Resort kicks Wii Fit out of the #1 spot though it's highly unlikely. I'd wish for more deserving games to do so but that's nigh impossible.

Didn't expect Call of Duty to lose to Fifa09 though i'm not too surprised. The UK scene is strange...

Good to see Wii Fit doing so well, I owe the loss of my 15-year long Spare Tyre to that package. Smilie
