Whilst many were wondering what the hold up was with Mario & Luigi RPG 3!!!, Nintendo has put any fears to rest with a US release confirmation at today's Press Conference at the E3 event. Rather than sticking to the original simplified Japanese name, the game will be titled Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story due to the fact that this time round the two Italian plumbers have been sucked deep inside Bowser. Players switch between Mario and Luigi inside Bowser, and Bowser himself wandering around the world trying to figure out how to extract the usually heroic duo from his insides.
In Japan this third Mario & Luigi RPG from developer AlphaDream has shot passed the 600,000 mark, easily surpassing sales of the previous two games (Superstar Saga on GBA and Partners in Time on DS). In fact, it has not once dropped out of the Top 10 Media Create chart since release, last week lodging itself at No.10 with sales just under the 625,000 mark despite a general lull in software sales in Japan recently.
