The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time is a classic!
But not just ANY classic!SmilieIt has been at the top spot of the list with the TOP 10 games of ALL TIME since its debut. It has been the basis for all the adventure games you see out there. The first of its kind and of course the one that makes our hearts shiver with sheer joy just by remembering it or just by merely hearing those legendary tunes of the game.
For many it has been the game that started everything for them. The game that got them into playing more games. Yes! The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is much like a monument which should be preserved, never to be changed into something else.
It is my humble opinion that a ReMake of the game would be at least an insult. We should not sacrifice it for a few bucks!
Thank you!
I agree that it's a monument for the gaming world. However a remake would not be bad for it. A remake that just enhanced the graphics, not changing the story or game play, would appeal to the younger gamers, the ones who weren't even born when the original came out. I know some of those kids, and when I mention OoT, then just give me a look, and say "The graphics hurt my eyes." Or something about the game looking old. Some kids have even told me that if the graphics were more realistic, then they would give it a try.
The truth is, kids these days, don't appreciate the classics. when they see the old graphics, they just turn away from it, saying things like, "Those graphics suck" or, "That game looks old, it probably sucks." The fact being, Most kids born after 2000, or the late 90's, have maybe only played the classics that were brought back for the GBA. And the reason they played them, was because either they didn't know they were from 10, 20, or 30 years ago, or they knew, but the graphics were "acceptable" for them being on the gba. I knew I got the gba re-introduced classics because my NES, will restart whenever it feels like, leaving me frustrated and having to start all over if i didn't save. But if you even show a kid a NES, they look at it like it's just a disposable camera. They have no interest in it. "It looks cheap" some even say. Yes, it can break easily, but you're not supposed to be carrying a NES around with you all day like you could with a Gamecube. And any veteran gamer knows that a working NES, is much more expensive than a Gamecube. However if you give a kid a working NES, they might just sell it for 5 bucks.
But back to a OoT remake. It's not the worst idea out there. If you must, think of the remake with enhanced graphics, maybe a few tweaks here and there, would hardly be a remake, but more of a polished version. Making it look new, when it's infact nearly 12 years old. And you can't possibly just sit here and tell me you would not be interested in seeing the game with more modern graphics, and hearing the original music redone and orchestrated. You may not want to play it, per say, but just seeing how it looks and feels, would be interesting.
