Grand Slam Tennis - Debut Trailer on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

The debut trailer for EA's Wii-exclusive Grand Slam Tennis has swung its way online, revealing a cast of old and new.

Tennis fans can play as present champions including Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Andy Roddick and professional winners from the past: Pete Sampras, Bjorn Borg, Borris Becker and more.

Much like in Mario Power Tennis, EA will be including mutiple control options for players - assisted movement, nunchuck play and full compatibility with MotionPlus when it hits retail. There'll also be online play for up to four players, and a full-on career mode to boost your skills, but EA will be discussing this closer to launch.

I really hate that caricature art style for the characters.

Virtua Tennis looks much better and has Motion Plus.

I really like the style for the characters, looks pretty good. Backgrounds look a little bland, and although the audience looks better in motion, definitely needs a little contrast in the size/colour of these people lol.

VT does look better, and Sega have more experience with it, but this does have a load of potential.

I hope that means M+ will be out before June 18.
Oh and they make it seem like M+ controls = instant win.

I can live with the graphical style. I bet a lot of people will like it.

This looks great. Perhaps VT looks better in motion but the stills for wii version look messy. Which is weird because the Dreamcast version looks good even now. In my opinion the characters are instantly recognisable unlike say Topspin 3. Some characters looked weird.
I dont know why people think Sega will do better. They by passed wii with the last Virtua tennis. And EA have done really well without motion plus in all other sport franchises. Plus IGN said even without it, it plays better then wii sports. Also Tiger woods 10 according to IGN is amazing with motion plus

Why mst they force us to pay for motion plus... should have been released with wii on launch date
