One Piece Wii Sails to US Shores on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Monkey D. Luffy and his crew will be sailing to US Wii shores according to publisher Namco Bandai.

The popular animé/manga series will debut on western Wiis with Unlimited Cruise, scheduled for release in June 2009, with the sequel due to hit shortly after in October. There's a lengthy storyline spanning two episodes, as the Straw Hat Pirates sail to mysterious locations and battle using the Wii remote and nunchuck. There'll be over 12 favourites to choose from, and 30 familiar bosses from the series to wipe out.

Thanks to MyWii for the tip.

This is better news than the DSi launch date. I\'ve been wanting news of an English Unlimited Cruise for months. I\'d almost given up and was about to import the Japanese version. Unlimited Adventure was amazing. Smilie

Playable Broooooook. XD

I don't have anything against One Piece, but why release this and not the inevitably awesome Tales games on DS? Smilie
