Sonic and the Black Knight, Comic Con Footage on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Gamers can take Sonic into the realm of King Arthur at this year's Comic Con New York.

The opening level is pretty much what you'd would expect, a tutorial into running, jumping, dashing and most importantly in this adventure, sword slashing at the same time!

The game is due out on March 10th, 12th and 13th in the US, Japan and Europe respectively.

looking really nice if you ask me dont think the sword get in way it just add really just think god it not a gun

Do want Smilie

I dunno what anyone else thinks, but it looks very Secret Ringsy to me, not really a bad thing.

Looks great. Smilie

I'll pass for the time being, but it'll be a great future purchase. Smilie

Lol, I'm a total Sonic nut, so will definitely try this out. Looks a bit fidgety, and that boss appauling, but should be decent enough.

Looks very secret rings, as said very twitchy but time to fix that. The whole style is diabolical though. The boss was cringe worthy and Sonic with a sword just looks idiotic. I don't see what addition to gameplay that truly gives.

Yur, the style and level design is very much SR - a good start already! I agree, the boss is one of those \"what were they thinking\" moments.

This is pretty much what we\'re getting (I think) - it\'s out in about 5 weeks so I\'m guessing this be the final (or near enough) build

I think it looks really good visually, but I personally thought the gameplay is looked a bit awkward. That boss fight didn't look to good, in my opinion and if it controls anything like Wild Fire, then I won't be interested.

Hopefully it will turn out to be alright.

yeah the boss fight look odd but thati hope is the 1st boss and they all way a cake walk

umm the sword idea isnt a bad idea after all..

The person playing might just not have had time to get used to the controls. Secret Rings took most people a while to get used to and also looked very fiddly at first. From what I've read, this will play like a Unleashed/SecretRings hybrid.

The boss looks exactly how I imagined it would. Not saying I'm pleased but it's reached my 'ok' expectations at least. Smilie

I don't Sonic doesn't seem to be running as fast as he used to, and I'm not to keen on the sword thing.

Likely because he has game beginning stats, like in Secret Rings, he'll be zooming around at stupendous speeds by the end of the game.

Not bad. Swordplay looks decently implemented.

Doesn't look bad, I thought the boss battle was a bit boring though, but the game itself is graphically great, especially for a Wii game. Nice environments and all.

Because it is set in the age of King Arther and a lot of people had swords in that age.
