Fans of Sega's Madworld in the UK can breathe a sigh of relief: it's passed the BBFC unscathed.
The highly controversial game from Platinum Games, published by Sega, sees a man with a gaping huge chainsaw for an arm running around trying to stop brutal fights by adding some of his own moves. Due to the huge amount of violence, there have been fears it may see censorship or even banning in the West. Mediawatch-UK even hoped for the game not to be classified last year, as it would ruin the console's family image, and had crap from a tabloid newspaper.
All that to one side, the game now has the all clear by the British Board of Classification (BBFC) and can be picked up in stores if you're over 18. Fortunately no cuts have been issued, so British gamers can hack and slash without censorship this March.
