Nintendo has plonked an amusing parental warning in the instruction manual for Animal Crossing Wii.
The latest entry in the popular town sim has a welcome return for the game's strict Mr. Resetti. The mole makes an appearance once again if players forget to save their progress, but Nintendo feel that his appearance and tone of what he says may be frightening towards young'uns.
It is important that players save before switching off the Wii console in order to retain data after each play session (see Saving Data, above). If players switch off without saving, the character Mr. Resetti may appear upon restarting.Mr. Resetti's purpose is to teach players the importance of saving. However, parents should be aware that his personality and tone of voice, while intentionally humourous, are authoritative and may be disturbing to young children.
At least there's less chance for "Nintendo Mole F*cks up Youngster" in the papers this week.
