Mart Racer Dashes onto WiiWare

By Jorge Ba-oh 20.10.2008 6

Ever fancied running about your local supermarket with a trolley? Now you can on online or offline on WiiWare.

From the folk at Joju Games, Mart Racer brings frantic racing action but not in a kart or car, but instead a regular shopping trolley. The aim of the game is simple: run around collecting items before your rivals and even into them to steal! There's support for four player split screen offline or going against the world using Nintendo Wi-Fi.

Thanks to Juan from Joju Games for sending this in.

Could be fun. Nice graphical style.

looks... frustrating. Anytime you hit anything you stop and get thrown back.... and if you hit something slowly you get stuck, this can be seen very clearly in the video. Hopefully it's not as noticable as the video has it, because I really want this to be fun.

It's supermarket sweep EXTREME.

It looks quite decent, and it has multiplayer and Wi-Fi.

It looks fun, but not as fun as real trolley racing Smilie

No thanks. I still need 10,000 Wii Points to purchase DLC for Megaman 9, Strong Bad Episodes 1-3, Cubello, Gyrostarr and World of Goo on Wiiware, plus Shinning Force II, Ys Book I and II, DoReMi Fantasy, Dynamite Heddy, Marios Picross and Kirby 64... wait, that's over 10,000 Wii points... damn.

Looks decent but a little laggy/basic, should be fun if cheap!
