The latest Famitsu review scores are in, showing off positive marks for both Mistwalker's AWAY and SEGA's Culdcept on DS. Check out the Nintendo-system scores below:

  • Away: Shuffle Dungeon (NDS, AQ Interactive): 8 / 8 / 7 / 8 - (31/40)
  • Nazo Nazo & Quiz Ichi Kotae Jikkon Q Mate! (NDS, Konami): 5 / 6 / 5 / 5 - (21/40)
  • Culdcept DS (NDS, Sega): 9 / 7 / 8 / 9 - (33/40)
  • Yattaman DS 2 (NDS, Takara Tomy): 7 / 6 / 6 / 7 - (26/40)
  • Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces (Wii, Bandai Namco): 8 / 8 / 8 / 8 - (32/40)
  • Daikaijuu Battle: Ultra Coliseum (Wii, Bandai Namco): 7 / 8 / 7 / 7 - (29/40)
According to first day sales leaking out of Japan, the Ace Combat Team-developed Sky Crawlers for Wii only sold 3,000 units on its debut day (25% sell-through of initial stock). Culdcept DS sold 35,000 units (48% sell-through) and Nintendo's big Christmas hope, Wii Music, started quite well with 50,000 sales on its first day, which is only 15% of its initial stock, leaving room for it to expand considerably over the weekend, similar to how Wii Fit did when originally launched.

"Nazo Nazo & Quiz Ichi Kotae Jikkon Q Mate!"

I just love those Japanese game names!

Sad news for Sky Crawlers Smilie, i wish it manages to sell well in the long run, cuz' it's a game that realy deserves it, with a lot of effort put in the visual presentation, which is too rarely the case on the Wii.

What score did Famitsu give to Wii Music?

Not exactly sure, but it was above 30/40 I think. Perhaps something like 32/40.
