By Mike Mason 15.07.2008 4

After it was revealed earlier, EA has released the first screenshots of its new Wii game, Sim Animals. Featuring a variety of creatures...well, mainly deers at the moment by the looks of it, Sim Animals is looking to be a more serious version of Viva Pinata. It's currently scheduled as an early 2009 title.

You can see the screens in our album below. Look out for the first DS shots too soon...

I've never been a huge fan of the Sim series so I doubt I'll be getting this one, but it looks OKAY!

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!  Pokemon Y - 1048-9263-5562

Looks surprisingly un-bad.

Are these guys serious! They can make a game like this but refuse to make an RTS game for the Wii. These guys are complete fools. Idiots work for EA. How can they not realize the potential for RTS games on the Wii but clearly see it on the Xbox 360 and PS3 both of which use dual analog controllers which are not suitable for RTS games.
They learned this back in the N64/PSX era.

The graphics are pretty decent, an by the way, I don't think traditional RTS could ever work on consoles, they have to be adjusted in such a way to suit consoles, like Pikmin.
