New Screens from tri-Crescendo Wii RPG: Fragile

By Jorge Ba-oh 27.06.2008 17

A whole heap of new screenshots and artwork from the upcoming horror RPG for Wii, Fragile, have hit the web.

Fragile tells the tale of the world of the future, buried in darkness and drowned in a thick layer of fog. The world's population has vanished, with cities left abandoned. A young boy Seto explores the world, hoping to find survivors and answers behind recent events as well as a mysterious girl.

Japanese site Online Player have posted up a series of new shots detailing some of the environments players can work their way through - from what appears to be an abandoned train station to the murky ruins of a mansion.

The game is being headed by tri-Crescendo, of Baten Kaitos and Eternal Sonata fame, along with sound work for various well-known RPGs.

Thanks to NeoGAF's Duckroll.

i hope to see some gameplay at E3

Oooh. I do like the modern art-style. Escalators ftw.

Looks pretty decent, sounds it too. Looking forward to some trailer/gameplay videos most definitely.

I'm really liking this...so far.

The art style is amazing! The graphics are pretty plain but man that style is really beautiful.

Can't wait! Smilie

They did an ok job with eternal sonata, nice graphics, decent gameplay but the story was just plain bad! Hopfully that won't be the case here.

Lol yep - the story has a lot of potential here, so hopefully it won't bring the game down. Already looking forward to reasons why this world is all fogged up.

Haha, I'm loving the combination of the anime-inspired art style for the main character and the grungry, "realistic" look of the environments.

This looks interesting...

I sold my soul to Sony for a PS3...

I need to see some gameplay footage.

If I could use a game to describe what it means by textures being good and bad at the same time, I'd use this one...

It's... weird. It looks nice but in some ways it looks pretty average. I think the lighting helps it.

I love the concept of this game, it should be interesting. Hopefully we can get ahold of some more screens or footage at E3.

As for baten kaitos, awesome games.
And Eternal Sonata... loved the gameplay, story was okay.. could'a been better though.

I think it's the Zelda effect - some scenes look amazing, others really muddy and stretched out.

Do this Horror RPG has level up? if yes then i will buy it.

I'd assume that it'd level up. Just for the fact it's a RPG.

It'd be quite strange if it didn't.
Plus all the previous games from Tri-Cresendo have all had level ups involved.

The combination of manga-characters and realistic background is great, methinks.
Lighting is great, it enhances Wii's graphic a lot and I hope graphics will look good in motion. I think it's good graphics. Since we can't say anything about the story till we play it, we have to rely on graphics and features. It already looks great imho. I'm excited!
great atmosphere, too!

I find your lack of faith disturbing!
