A game's description can really make or break it, especially if there's little to no marketing out there.

I love this Tweet from Josh / Superlink:

So what's yours?!

Share yours below but don't share the game - it's up to everyone else to guess!

First up, here's mine - an easy one:

A group of brainwashed children are forced to dress engage in chemical warfare only to be paid in seashells and clothing.

Hahaha Smilie Fun thread... I'll also do an easy one. XD

A bunch of kids lives in a village and then someone turns super-emo for some strange reason and starts torturing and/or killing their friends and/or themselves and finally no one is left alive and the entire village gets destroyed by some mysterious disaster. And then it all repeats again.

The difference between illusion and reality is vague to the one who suffers from the former and questionable for the one suffering form the later.

^ I have no idea. It sounds a lot like Naruto lol

Yep, the one and only! It really is difficult to describe to others - people keep saying, "so... spraying paint on the...floor?!"

Guys, you're supposed to make these games sound rubbish, not totally awesome! Smilie

How you make a good game sound rubbish

There's some stupid game where you just go around collecting animals, the thing is when you think that you have them all you realise that you need to buy another game to actually 100% it or find another person with that game. You can make the animals fight but all you see is the animals shake and some poor sound effect afterwards. Totally crap graphics and extortionate methods to actually complete the game. Totally avoid it!

Flynnie, EA's Animal Safari U, right?

Here's another pair:

A deluded young boy plays on the beach sometimes. He spends 30 hours endlessly sailing around the sea in a boat who he believes can speak. He sometimes finds some grass that he imagines contains money, but they are really rocks that are slowly weighing his boat down. Occasionally a seagull shits on his head and sometimes he needs to duck for cover as pirates fire deadly cannonballs towards his head. He believes he's looking for his sister because she was supposedly abducted by a bird, but in honest truth, he pushed her off a cliff because she was nice to him for his birthday. He'll never find her.

---

You control a loner who goes into a forest everyday and sees imaginary children and fairies. One day he walks to town and verbally abuses a poor man on a horse who was just looking for the Princess who had wandered off for the day. He defaces a tree, breaks into temples and murders the temple guardians, stealing their treasure. At the end of the game he meets the man on the horse, again, and with the Princess they pelt him with arrows and pretend they can throw big fireball at him. Then the protagonist has a celebration with the imaginary friends once again, drinking milk. Because of his problems, he has amnesia and wakes up without knowing what's happened during the previous 7 years.

A plumber, delirious from all his years of shroom eating, finds himself in a bizarre Alice in Wonderland scenario, wearing a cat onesie from Primark. The fairies that yell at him to be saved are actually concerned community wardens wondering why he's running circuits around the park, trying to throw fireballs.

Heres a few;

* With great care put a misshapen brick into a wall, only to see all your hard work vanish and you need to start again over and over.

* A game where every character is utterly two dimensional, and they struggle to get a door open.

* Two insanely giant robots are having a awesome battle. But they are frozen and do nothing. Also by, comparison, you play like, a flea sized thing on their back.

* A game full of broken geometry. In fact, the players main tool breaks the scenery completely each time it is used, making holes you can fall though.
