Miyamoto: Pikmin 4 is in Development

Hope it's more like Pikmin 2 (no time pressure), but without those really long cave sections.

It's weird how they've announced this. So Eurogamer interview Miyamoto in July and i'm guessing there was some sort of NDA making them wait til now to publish it?

The potential NX launch period line up is looking too good.

- Pikmin 4
- New 3D Mario
- Zelda WiiU (lol)
- Retro Studios game

Plus Square Enix are interested in bringing FF14, DQ11 and DQ10 to NX which I would certainly be interested in.

Yes!!

So excited to hear this. Pikmin 3 was awesome and is on my all-time favorites list. Loved the story mode, but especially loved those challenges (both single player and co-op).

I still think that this game makes some of the best use of the Game Pad, for quickly jumping between and directing the different leaders and all their Pikmin.

While I would love the game as soon as possible, there are 8 big Wii U titles scheduled already for the rest of 2015, so sometime in early 2016 would be great.

A forth* title eh? 

I am hoping that it could be a New 3DS game but I'd reckon its Wii U. It would be better for Nintendo to hold this for NX. Likewise with Zelda, Metroid and Mario. As Irfrit mentioned it would be a stunning launch window if you could get these games out in the first 6-12 months. 

I also did a WTF when reading that Eurogamer knew about this since July..it was a bit strange that I hadn't heard about this news until it was trending on twitter! Although it makes me feel like a Direct must be approaching for sometime this month! 

get in! hope they work on the multiplayer element of the game. cant help but think theres a good nest defense game in there somewhere.
