Probably explains why Nintendo has a good handful in the pipeline. Strange to think that the N64 remains the pinnacle of 3d platformers. Also a waste of the power of the wii U which would be much better suited to full on 3D platformers.
I hope nintendo place more focus on 3d games next year that arent mini games and that really do something creative with the gamepad.
That's all well and good, but please stop making 2d platformers and make something else.
We need another Mario like Super Mario 64 or Super Mario Sunshine (easily the most under-rated Mario game). Sure, the 2d Marios' are fun, but the 3d open world/adventure Marios' are breathtaking. Nintendo has been trying to cater to these "gamers" who are about 12 and 13, playing CoD all day. Nintendo needs to say screw them and release a Mario that will be just as dense as Sunshine, with that feeling of wonder you got everytime you opened a new door in Peach's Castle on Mario 64. Please Nintendo, bring your amazing Mario development back.
I'd just like to point out that the sales figures and the poll results don't line up at all.
Actual sales results are probably worth a billion polls.
