One of the reasons the developers were upset was because they spent a lot of time working lengthy hours the past few months to get the game ready for Wii U's release...and then it was delayed to port the game to two new versions. Now on top of that those same developers have to make another exclusive demo and this standalone mode (or are they the same now?).

It seems like they are adding more work to the developers who were angry about how much work they put into the game before it was delayed.

On the fan side of things, this doesn't make up for the delay. It's cool for people like me who weren't going to get the game anyway, but this just all the more emphasizes the fact that the Wii U game is done and just sitting there until 360/PS3 versions are complete. Yes, now they are supposedly adding even more levels, but it's not like the game would have been lacking in content had it been released next week. This added content could've been DLC.

Also stated was that the 6 months of delay will not be wasted. The Rayman team will be adding new levels, new bosses, and new content to the game, so Legends will be even better at launch. We can't argue with that, though we still wish we could play the entire game next week.

This is something that just mystifies me. If the developers will have plenty of time on their hands for extra content and all those months aren't just for the ports, why the hell pick a month like September to release the game in and not July or even August? You know, before the Q3/Q4 madness that crushed Rayman Origins?

Probably because the porting people are different to the level design people. Porting, Id guess, is mostly very boring code and interface changes.

They do realise this will just piss of the 360/Xbox owners now, as your not so much given WiiU owners more, but given them less. (at least, for awhile)

Nice job, Ubi. Clearly this is fair compensation. Smilie Smilie

Nice move, yes! *sarcasm*

What troubles me, is how they treat Wii-U-owners/Nintendo fans. Instead of releasing Rayman Legends now for Wii-U and let X360 and PS3 roast on small flame and wait for September, they release it until then on every console simultaneously.
Nintendosians have to wait for a cheap port, which takes 3 to 12 months and when released, they all cry and say 'doesn't sell, what's up?' - seemingly without realising, that hardcore gamers already bought this game on another platform. But now they don't give us the same satisfaction to watch X360s and PS3s? Very clever. That's unfair, I daresay. Really!

I'm sure PS360 owners are broken hearted that they're not getting a glorified demo. What else will they play?

Add me on anything. I'm always looking for new friends/opponents/town visitors/chances to appear more popular than I actually am.
