Not even a timed-exclusive now
shows how low Wii U sales and game sales have been since launch.
There were subtle hints this would happen but I'd have thought it'd be like 6-12 months after the Wii U release. Now they're all releasing at the same time. Ninja Gaiden 3 RE releasing on PS3/360 less than 3 months after the EU release... It's not very positive signs on the multiplat side of things for Wii U right now. And with hints about ZombiU in the past, it's just a matter of time before that crosses over, too.
ZombiU, with a name change, is bound to happen. I'm sure they even mentioned iOS versions at one point... Anyway, I think I read how it'd sold less than Red Steel on Wii did
As for Rayman, I think the fact that Origins didn't do massively better on Wii compared to PS360 might have swayed the decision a bit.
This is a much more serious loss than Ninja Gaiden which barely counted as an exclusive.

I'll get it on 360...
UBISOFT YOU BASTARDS! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!
Ugh! It could at least have been a timed exclusive. -_-'
I was going to buy this game at launch to show Nintendo and Ubisoft some love. Now I'll just wait until it ends up in the discount bin.
Serves them right. Delaying a game 2 weeks before launch just to port it to other systems? Right after saying how the game can never be ported because it is so unique on the Wii U hardware?? Bad call Ubisoft, bad call.
Rayman Legends never made sense as an exclusive anyway. Why would you limit yourself to a platform you know the game won't sell as well on.
I hope they'll have fun competing against GTA V in September. Did they learn nothing from Rayman Origins' release?

Heh, I'm bitter about this. Not because it's coming to other consoles now, but because now Wii U owners have to wait ages, just so it launches along side the other consoles.
This news has ruined my day. I was so excited to play this finally, in a few weeks time and now I have to wait 7 months to play it, even though the game is finished development.

Rayman going multiplatform doesn't bother me at all. We knew it was going to eventually. This is Ubisoft, after all.
What bothers me is skipping the spring release and making Wii U owners wait 7 months. Rayman is now going to go up against GTA V and every other big holiday title, maybe even a platformer from Nintendo. Does this make sense at all? Why skip out on 7 months of sales with no competition? Why release in one of the busiest months? Does Rayman even sell well on PS3 or 360? I don't remember Origins doing very well on those platforms.
Seems like a poor decision by Ubisoft, to be honest.

Yeah I'm not bothered about losing exclusitivity, the delay however is HORRIBLE and Ubisoft should feel horrible. It's an absolutely awful decision that will kill hype for the game.
My hype for the game is very much at an all time low right now, stolen from us right under our noses.
Ubisoft, I want to play Rayman Legends on the GBA!
Could you please delay the other versions to work on this new port? Thanks, really!!
"They are going to give them what they want" But yet when it comes to Nintendo fans, they throw them under the freaking bus and don't give them anything.
What the?!! Who in their right mind made this decision!? Not being exclusive isn't the problem, but making WiiU owners wait for a multi-plat release when it was weeks away from launch is ridiculous! It seems that the promises for 3rd party support from Nintendo are more dire than I realized.
*SIGH*
I was planning on picking this up at lauch too. I probably won't even get it now.

*scratches hair and beard*
I don't get it either. If the game is finished then just release it already! It will be superior on the WiiU anyway if Ancel was right about using the extra hardware. But..:Just release the finished game, work on the ports for the other consoles and don't ruin your sales (some people already saying NO to this and the release date so close to GTA5 etc...As others have mentioned). It really makes no sense unless MS an Sony have payed them..But that sounds way too far fetched.
I'll be getting it on thw WiiU anyway! But dat wait.... I was really excited for this :/
Well, there you have it. Another Nintendo 3rd party exclusive... that isn't. :-x
I'm surprised Ubisoft is the one doing this sh** now, though. Bastards. What makes this so much worse is the f***ing delay. What the hell, Ubi?

Well hey if all else fails at least the WiiU won't lose Bayonetta 2
(famous last words, as SEGA suddenly comes across an old family fortune and suddenly have the money to port and publish Bayonetta 2 to other systems! Move to free parking, collect £200 if you pass Go)

We still don't even have concrete info on the Wii U version of Aliens: Colonial Marines. Which, is launching next week here in the US for all other platforms.

The rights are still owned by SEGA though...its just being published by Nintendo, i am not sure about the development being funded by Nintendo...

SEGA's in a really bad way atm, they couldn't port or publish Bayonetta 2 even if they wanted to.
