Monolith's Wii U Game Revealed

Is it me or was this Nintendo direct more interesting then their E3. 

That Nintendo Direct was impossibly good, why can't their E3's be that entertaining. That delivered everything I wanted from Nintendo.

-Great games
-integrated virtual console
-improved load times

Well done Nintendo!

I've got about 65 hours in on Xenoblade so far and it has quickly become one of my favorite games, period. I've never played any of the other Xeno games, so this could be just a feature of them, but this preview shared many, many similarities with what I'm seeing in Xenoblade. The icons on the bottom of the screen, the map in the upper right, the way battle appears to be initiated. Also, the flying armor looked exactly like a Mechon from Xenoblade. My point being, if these aren't all features of the Xeno games, this could very well be a sequel to Xenoblade.

Regardless, I'm truly loving what I've seen so far.

Those talking about E3 - Nintendo don't care as much about E3 any more, and I don't blame them. I much prefer their spaced-out Direct conferences throughout the year than scruffy E3. The show isn't what it used to be, and has become less and less about the fans each year. At least Nintendo is doing it for the fans with these videos. That said, E3 should be a decent showing for them this year, with playable Mario and new Smash Bros screens.

And on topic, looks like I really need to get on Xenoblade soon. Could this be a possible sequel? The guy at the end looked like the main guy from Xenoblade, and then the 'X' logo..? Speculating. I don't know. I shouldn't try to spoil myself.

I agree, just look how some past conferences went from all three companies and it's obvious how E3 is becoming less and less interesting for gamers like us. It's a clever approach, since Nintendo doesn't have to share the spotlight with anyone by doing Nintendo Directs for many of their huge announcements.

Speculation will no doubt ensue about this game being a sequel or not, so it would be a good idea to get on Xenoblade sooner rather than later unless you like dodging possible spoilers for months to come.

WAIT A SECOND...look closely and you'll spot a chat window in the footage. Online co-op? That would be incredible...

This is looking gorgeous, seems like its almost a 'Xenoblade 2' with some of the similarities it shares such as combat/UI. Plus that mech at the end of the trailer? Win. I want this game.

At first I thought it was just a test of Xenoblade in HD. Than the giant mech thing. (Which amazed me) I'm glad this was shown last, because my mind went; "HOLY SHIT THIS IS INCRREDIBLE."

and I was impressed just by the visuals in just that animated gif above!

For anyone curious about this game's composer, this will be his first video game soundtrack with his previous ones being for anime, TV shows and movies. If the trailer music and this one below is any indication, it'll be an amazing soundtrack.

Hmm well just piecing a few things together. Anyone think this could be monoliths first stabb into mmo territory I mean they have that text box and did say they wanted to be like Bethesda and the scale of the game looks impressive. 

I do have one issue. I don't think it looks any better than a ps3 game. Possibly a little worse that current AAA titles. Sure it will play sublimely

I hope it's NOT an MMO but rather have the option to play online co-op. I want a grand story in single player as in Xenoblade.

About the graphics there are two things that has to be mentioned.

1. This not the finishe game. We have no idea how long they have come in development yet. And...

2. If there will be such a huge open world as in Xenoblade then this looks very good, I just hope they let Xenoblade inspire them a good deal have make all those different and colourful areas as in that game.

I guess I should start saving my money for a WiiU. And I here I was, thinking that I'd be PC gamer for the next generation. Silly me.

I thought it was from a trailer, but maybe not.

I was just posting it because when I saw the gif of the character getting into the vehicle above a huge world, it made me think of the Star Wars 1313 picture of the character overlooking the world ... and it made me hope Star Wars 1313 makes it to Wii U.
