On Xenoblade Chronicles:"We needed to make sure that there was really an opportunity for it. We wanted to see how it would sell in Europe, and based on the performance in Europe, we would look to bring it here to the U.S. It did well in Europe; we decided to bring it in here. We took a very smart approach and we sold it ourselves online in terms of physical goods as well as a focus on GameStop as a retailer, and it was a very good effort for us. (It sold) Quite well."

On Monolith's Wii U game:"We know that they're working on a game. I personally haven't seen it, but I know there's a lot of excitement in Japan and Kyoto about what they're working on, so I look forward to seeing it. In the end, if it's a game that we decide to publish from... what would be a second-party standpoint, certainly we'd love to bring it here to the US. The way we look at the opportunity is, given a level of marketing support, how much are we gonna sell and is it gonna be a profitable venture?"

Reading this just makes me wish region lock was abolished from the world. To think it's not a concrete deal that such high quality games from the likes of Monolith will come out in the West is just wrong.

With any luck, NoE will rise up to the challenge of localizing it this time around as well. They've become quite good at it, of late

They need to ALSO bring over Pandora's Tower, Fatal Frame 2 & 4...even if they make them downloadable titles from the WiiU's version of eShop it NEEDS to happen.

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422

I remember when NoE used to be worse than NoA, now it's the complete opposite. I'm so glad to live in Europe, they've done such a fantastic job these past few years.

Of course, I really hope all these games head to the US, as well.

We've been tested like guinea pigs with two of Monolith's games, Disaster and Xenoblade. Just to see if they'd sell well over here, enough to warrant a release in the US. I kind of like that we're being used as guinea pigs, because they're pretty awesome games! Smilie

Please don't ever mention Disaster again. Ugh.

I'm glad that their experiment shows: good games will sell. Bad games won't sell.

I actually found Disaster pretty enjoyable actually. It was by no means a triple A title, but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it.

Other people enjoyed it too, such as C3's Adam Riley. Just because you're not fond of something, don't instantaneously think everyone else should not like it too. Sorry for coming off as a bit of a prick, but I don't see why I can't mention a game because you don't want me to.

Been wanting to dive again into Disaster for months. If only I had the time, I'd go back and play it right now! Loved it the first time around, and want to try it again for completing the stuff I didn't do the first time 'round, such as alternate costumes and the like.

I wanted to play Disaster Day of Crisis....it's a DISASTER that I can't. T_T

Well I don't want to sound like a jerk either... but I just hated the game with a passion. Smilie The graphics were like something I expected on the N64. The sound was so bad.... footsteps for example sounded like they smashed 2 random objects together and decided that was close enough to a footstep.
The levels were jokes. Running around in a dead and empty world with just 1 way to go isn't fun. Having to find food and water every several minutes isn't fun either. Having to headshot guys 4 times before they die isn't my idea of satisfaction. Racing was decent, but the tracks were simple, empty and short.

I gave it a shot and I hated it. I find it hard to believe people mention it in the same breath as Xenoblade, which I hear is really good.

But hey, it's all an opinion and if you like it, I don't mind if you mention it. Smilie
