i've been thinking and i say that paper mario should be a character in ssbm2 because to shield he could turn sideways and use his helpers.roll on your ideas.

I say Bring in the Sega characters

Sonic VS Mario, and all that Smilie

i've just realised that my user id is 1555.i feel so happy inside.don't know why. Smilie

Possibly a custom robo character maby captain olimer

I hate to be the one that announces it, but Sega characters will never feature in any Super Smash Bros. Game. This is due to the fact that Sonic is now multi-format, and Nintendo will have to pay millions to get Sonic and Co. into a Ninty exclusive game. SSB can only star exclusive charaters.

Anyway, I would like to see Samurai Goroh, Diddy Kong, Wario etc.

I'd like Slippy to make it in, just so I can kick the living day lights out of the green bastard!

I'd like to see either a mode that shares similarities with Naturo - a 3d fighting environment with 4 players battling simulatenously - it may sound totally bizarre but it really works well that or a sort of split screen in 3rd perspective where you can lock onto characters, again in full 3D and counter lock-on etc. So many ideas! Captin olimar! And once you complete it with him, you unlock a gold Pikmin!!! Or Toad!!!!

Different Weapons!

Mario - Watercannon
Luigi - Vacuum
Starfox - Staff
Samus - Different suits/arm cannons

ect...

Zapp Brannigan! Smilie

Either that or Diddy kong! Smilie

we all know they'll bring in more clones, ie. slippy, baby mario, diddy kong ect.

but what's better is make it [3D with lock on],
OR
more moves, items, enimies stages and characters...

enimies:
pikmin enimies

Items:
Odama
Guns from advance wars
that random Pikmin2 items which calls a monster to smash your opponent

Stages:
Odama's pinball stage
(advance wars) battlefields

Characters:
Olimar
Paper Mario
Cel Link------parry would be cool
Toad
Boo
Billy Hatcher-
A couple of new pokemon

Here's a topic: (assuming there is an extra button or something for moves)
WHAT EXTRA MOVE(S) WOULD YOU GIVE TO CURRENT CHARACTERS IN SSBM???

hmm...
mario----------watercannon
pikachu-------
bowser--------chain chomp
peach---------
yoshi----------
dk-------------coconut gun
falcon---------
fox------------staff
ness-----------
ice-climbers--
kirby----------
samus---------change arm cannon

link------------switch A moves to megaton hammer

mewtwo------some psychic bubble or something

I thinks its perfect 2D. I wouldn't change a thing.

read the cross-over's thread, they could trial the idea with a 3D mostly 1P platformer type game. Using like a DK barrel type switching method. It would have less characters, but so what?

Methinks it should stay 2D.

It works so well like that why would you change it? Smilie

yeah it should stay as it is

Because if you8 are experimental and innovative-if you try new things, then sometimes you strike on something really good...
that's what people like about nintendo

Edit: oh, oh, and people from golden sun. and Viewtiful Joe, and a space pirate.

He invented the handy cloaking device Smilie

I'd like to see all of Duffman's suggestions! And Meeeeeeeeeeetaaaaaaaaaa-Riiiiiidleeeeeey!!!!! Smilie Smilie Smilie

Keep it 2D methinks as well, and I'd still like to see Sonic charcters, just to see whether Tails or Fox would win Smilie Smilie

With olimar you could summon pikmin to crawl along the ground or something, plus he'd be tiny, slight size issue there

About JB's idea about a 3d playing field, if you like that sort of stuff you should check out "powerstone 2" on the Dreamcast, not only is it a great game but it has TONNES of weapons, including the ineffable "frozen tuna"

so what, you can just make olimar bigger...what's an interesting game to model it on is that Monsters game on PS2. You're all giant monsters which climb up on buildings, and you basically grap people or aerials, and chuck them at the other monster... if you lock onto the enemy, then you revolve around them, ect, but if you both lock onto eachother, then the split screens join, and you see a 2D style side on view. (still with depth)

Yeah, I seen that game in action - 'tis was good Smilie

It would be a good idea to include the 3rd playing field as an extra feature perhaps. Maybe with the mentioned extra melee weapons; it could be Soul Calibre esque.

I think more destructable landscape, like... Worms, but on a lesser scale, if you had a good physics engine it would be really fun

Imagine what would happen if we threw Bowser into the ground. That would crash the game Smilie

With an updated engine, all the snipping and tearing would be gone, and there could be some really nice touches. Actually, the levels in SSBM are interactive to some extent as well, but it is limited.

I don't mean like totally like worms, but I mean.... like say a rock is upheld by some land, then chipping away at that would make it tumple down on somebody.

similar to the metroid stage where you can split the land apart.

but in reverse.

no. That would wreck it. Like someone said beofre we need more character weapons, marios water canon e.tc
But what we really need is the fierce diety mask

^^^ Buy that man a pint Smilie
