I bought the game earlier today and have just completed the first episode. I'm impressed so far, by the little things. I've actually stopped playing despite being eager to continue, I need to get a Circle Pad Pro tomorrow, not that playing with the conventional set up was bad at all tbh. I like the weapon switching, it feels swift, I also like the simple inventory which is really refreshing after past games. I've put my reticule on "fast" and like it. The 3D effect looks great when maxed out, I'll definitely be playing the rest of the game in 3D as intended. I have to say I like all the scanning also, it's definitely helpful, and you get a good feel for the environments when you scan.

Played the E3 Demo, and the recent eShop demo, was pretty good, the enemies in the eShop demo were harder to kill, but overall when I can afford it, I think I'll like it.

Got mine through too. The Pro feels great for my giant hands. Smilie

Played through Episodes 1-3 then I played a couple of Raid Mode missions. Absolutely loving it so far. Smilie Circle Pad Pro feels great, though as Squidboy said, the conventional control setup is just as good.

Loving the game so far and the circle pad pro feels very comfy and pretty easy to use after you used to it. I've just finished chapter 3 now and I've put a good 2 hours into it already Smilie

I've completed it, great game. If anyone wants to do Raid Mode just let me know.

How many difficulty setting become available after completion?

I love it. It's got me gripped so far. Smilie

I thought I would get sick of the scanning, but it's been integrated pretty well and I'm getting a little obsessive about looking around for things to scan now. _

I don't know how anyone can say the Circle Pad Pro is comfy though. It's an odd shape. It doesn't feel comfortable at all and it makes the 3DS feel huge. I have fairly small hands and I have dificulty managing with it. I have been using it though, in the hope that I'll get used to it, but mainly because it means I can look around in the game. It's a gorgeous game and I wan to see everything. I keep stopping all the time, just to look around and marvel at the graphics. Smilie

I only unlocked one and I completed it on Normal.

I'm personally finding the circle pad pro to be extremely comfortable for some reason xD
I'll be up for some raid mode as well L if my internet works fine. 9 times outta 10 when I join or host a match of raid, I get a error when the game starts and it kicks me out >.>
Kinda hate talktalk atm.

@Squid, the difficulty setting you unlock after completing it seems to be hard enough, if playing that difficulty on the demo is anything to go by. Smilie I haven't quite completed it yet, I think I nearly have. Been playing a bit of Raid Mode as well as the campaign. Loving it so far. Smilie

I haven't touched Raid Mode yet. I got the CPP today and will start playing again later tonight, I had a little go earlier and agree it feels good with it. The game controls smoother overall and it's a lot easier to look around with the scanner.

Gotta agree with Trepe, the game looks really great at times, it feels like a HD game when the screen resolution is so small yet everything on screen is so polished. I hope the 3DS gets many more games of this high visual quality and that there's better to come.

Completed the campaign today, missed one handprint though. Not sure which episode it was in. I'll have to go through again and look around.

Played about 7 missions or so in Raid Mode and I'm loving everything about the game so far. I definitely think I like it more than RE5. Smilie

Resident Evil: Revelations is number 1 in the UK charts: http://www.chart-track.co.uk/index.jsp?c=p/software/uk/latest/index_test.jsp&ct=110032

I changed the shooting view to third person rather than first. I much prefer it. I've never like having first person in R.E. games. So glad that option was there. Has anyone else changed that setting when they played it.

Finished it and loved every minute of it. It is a great game and some of the music in it needs to get a mention. It's had a lot of care and attention put into it. Smilie

This is the first thing I done when I played both Mercs 3D and Revelations... I hate 1st person in RE. Smilie

Anyone up for a bit of Raid Mode right now? Smilie

I'm hoping for an update to fix the loading points.

The laggy parts in elevators and in the middle of opening certain doors?

This was something that bothered me at first, but after getting used to it. I've come to just accept it. If they did fix it? Great! If they don't...? It doesn't really matter to me as it doesn't affect gameplay.

Heh, Linkyshinks gets in a twist about a lot of things. Smilie Is there a youtube video showing the lag? I can't imagine it being that debilitating. Few reviews have really mentioned terrible framerate drops.

This has nothing to do with online lag.

It's common knowledge the game turns into a slideshow on lifts and when walking through certain doors - whenever the game loads.

Yeah, the online is fine. It's just when the game needs to load another area. Such as going in certain elevators or going through doors which lead to a completely different area. It makes it, like Squidboy said... turn into a slideshow. It still isn't much of a big deal though, as you never have to do anything in a lift so the slowdown doesn't affect gameplay.

It can drop below 5 frames a second on every single elevator , or sometimes the game will pause half a second in the middle of a room (namely when you arrive upstairs in the dining room, early in the game, and it unloads the bottom part of the room to load the next room or something like that).

That's not a twist, it's a fact Smilie.

I was thinking this had to do with the larger cartridge using slower flash memory to minimize production costs (as was the case with 1Gbit carts and above on the original DS), so the game had trouble loading large chunks of data fast enough. This couldn't be patched, unfortunately.

The same kind of problem plagued Resident Evil Zero on GameCube, where you could tell there was going to be something special in the next room just from the length of the loading time, and hearing the disc tray making more noise than usual. It doesn't break gameplay, but it breaks the cinematic experience, I thoroughly agree with Squidboy on that.

That being said, I'm not too fussed about it because it remains a damn good looking handheld game, and I still love it despite that (granted I only paid 39€ for it, whereas Squid paid a lot more, so my expectations might not have been as high)
