I'm really happy tonight and this doesn't happen often and it doesn't usually last long, so whilst I'm excited, happy and inspired I bring you the "Songs That Make You Feel Happy" thread!

The idea is simple - post songs that make you happy or even happier! You may have a song from the past as you were growing up and it brings back good memories or perhaps it just has a funky beat to it that you can't help but dance to when you hear it. Anything goes! So post away!

Roll up! Roll up! "Here's your balloon son! It's a giraffe" "Come and get your magical candy floss too!"

Muahahahaha

Here is my song that makes me feel happy!

It has something special about it, which I can't put my finger on. Ignoring the tacky video and lyrics, I just really like the way it sounds. I remember hearing it when I was younger (I think I must have been 8) and at the time it was one of the more decent songs I liked, because before that I listened to some pretty rubbish stuff. I had some crappy radio and recorded it on tape and would listen back to it.

Pokey LaFarge and the South City Three - La La Blues

Also this guys amazing harmonica skills made me smile so much, the song itself is cheerful and I can't help but want to dance around to it.

Has to be one of the happiest songs I've listened to:

Clips are from the film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Throughout the duration of this piece, I pretty much spend the entire time in full military salute. Fucking love the song and the films.

All Shall Perish - There is no Business to be Done On A Dead Planet

Makes me think of blue skies and rainbows.

Youngblood Brass Band - Brooklyn

Brass and big band stuff generally makes me happy.

Please Forgive Me - Westbound Train

Most ska music also fills me with some indescribable joy.

Okay, new rules. I'm back to being a miserable fart so if anyone can post a song and it makes me feel happy when I listen to it, you'll get a star as a reward. I'll be posting a winners list below and each of you will get a star for your efforts!

Thanks!

Winners List:

Modplan Man for The Polyphonic Spree - Light & Day
Martin for Youngblood Brass Band - Brooklyn
shiptoncraig for Project Chaos - 1-05 Walk on Water
Jacob for Noah and the Whale - 5 Years Time
Azuardo for Spanish Flea - Herb Alpert (for making me laugh Smilie)

Make sure you carry on posting the songs that make you feel happy though and not ones you think will make me feel happy, just to get a star. The reward comes from sharing a song that makes you feel happy and if it rubs off on me, then that's the bonus.

I just saw this in a great Takeshi Kitano film called Kikujiro. Maybe it's because I've seen it that I'm just linking the emotions, but this song has elements sorrow but mostly of joy and nostalgia. Well I hope you enjoy it anyway!

Atmosphere - Sunshine

Rebelution - Feeling Alright

Angus, if you had posted up the live version I've heard Joe Hisaishi play (just piano), it would have made me happy, but I'm not too fond of the film version of it.

I was considering for ages which version to put up, but since the live one is only available in 240p it annoyed me Smilie

Kyle Landry FT. Frank Tedesco - Carol of the Bells

Honestly anything by Nightwish & Tarja Turunen (she left the band & went solo) makes me feel ELATED!!

They're really good & a genere all their own, litterally!! I've yet to see another band catagorized as "Metal Opera"...HOW FRIKKEN EPIC IS THAT!!!!??

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422

At 1:11, it sounds soooooo familiar to a video game song. Idk why but for some reason I'm thinking a Paper Mario game. Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!! It's driving me crazy!!!

A pretty upbeat (and damn good) song I enjoy listening to pretty often:

Plenty of songs that I love there! Smilie

Adam Riley [ Director :: Cubed3 ]

UNITE714: Weekly Prayers | Bible Verses

Adam, the nostalgia! I remembered just about all of those. What a time to have grown up in!

Bill Withers - Lovely Day
