It's an awesome game.
You control Samus, a bounty hunter, through the catacombs of planet Zebes.
The graphics are aweseom, the music is great, and it's just so damn fun!
I give it a 10/10!

Yes, its a revolutionary game - inspired so many games including Zelda OoT.

^^^Wooooh! Gonna be a fight between BEAM and Gastrian!
Anyway, everybody keeps saying this game is amazing, so I really should find a copy. Is there a GBA version?
{Guild}Ohmdal: But how did you get the poo inside of the box when the goat was sleeping on top of it?
{Guild}Ohmdal: oops wrong chat
Sadly no. Metroid Fusion is close put pales in comparison to the SNES classic.
Beam you could be a explanetive. WHY do you say they are similar.
I dunno - they're not really..............
If the Metroid Series is similar to anything it has to be Castlevania...They are incedibly alike...Explore a little, find a weapon/tool...Explore more etc.
I guess that is the connection to OOT also, the item found in each temple allows you to explore more of Hyrule to gain access to other temples and items.

Well Metroid and Super Metroid came first before; Castlevania was structured to be very similar. It wasn't until Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (Playstation) that the whole Castlevania franchise mirrored Metroid. Even up to the latest GBA release of a Castlevania game that formula is still there. By the way, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is a great game!
ps. Ah! That was my 123 post... 1...2...3... lol

As I'll be reviewing Metroid: Zero Mission before its April release, I've also been playing Super Metroid on the SNES to see how it compares...and on the whole it compares surprisingly well. You see the controls on Super Metroid are actually a little 'clunky' after playing the extremely smooth Metroid: ZM...but the depth of the game is greater.
In fact, I think I'll do a full blown retro review of SM sometime soon, if I get a chance...it's been too long since my last retro review!
