I got lucky and found this for a very reasonable price online (€15 instead of the regular €40).

I actually played Radiant Dawn before this one, so for me it was like playing a prequel.
It's a great game, but Radiant Dawn has so many better options (interface etc.).
I guess I'd give PoR a 8.5 and RD a 9.0.

Well, I played Radiant Dawn shortly after it and while it did improve on many things, I think it's worse than Path of Radiance in some areas, like the difficulty. It was very well balanced in PoR but in RD it's just completely sporadic and the hardest missions are only made extremely hard by giving you control of only characters that suck so bad they can't even take on one regular enemy by themselves.

The percentage of extremely useless characters in general also seemed much higher than in any other Fire Emblem game and you're forced to deal with them since the game is structured differently than other Fire Emblem titles.
