Will this mean the entire game world is mirrored like in TP?

Add me on anything. I'm always looking for new friends/opponents/town visitors/chances to appear more popular than I actually am.

No, just Link I think.

Edit, may have to change that, it's a bit ambiguous in the way they say it, i.e Link is left handed, as well as the player, or Link is right handed, and the player can control him using his right hand.

Also sort of spoiler for those who may watch the video in terms of Gameplay.

Smilie Well, Link has always been a leftie before Twilight Princess on Wii, so this makes me happy.

But will I play it left-handed? Maybe on my second playthrough, although it will be hard!

This should just about please everyone!
100 hours+
100 minutes of cutscenes
left handed option
out in less than 2 months
1 to 1 swordplay
origins of the series
lots of content
WELL no matter what GOTY in my eyes!

Link being a leftie is a myth. His character image mirrored in the first game, meaning he was right or left handed depending on which direction you were facing. As seen in this image, he even picks up his first sword with his right hand:

Most official art showed him left-handed though, though some had him wielding the sword with his right.

Regardless, lefties across the globe should be happy. Though most are probably used to playing right-handed by now anyway.

It's just 6 weeks away! Smilie I am SO going to take the day off on November 18. ^_^

I'll see how I feel with the hand I use.
Link is canonically a righty in this one, but it's still a nice feature.

Link is always a lefty. Use your Wiis to actually improve your mobility for once, as is often marketed. Go southpaw and you might become a little ambidextrous! Canonically, TP is a GC game, and therefore Skyward Sword is the first one where he is a righty. Fucking stupid Wii, ruining everything! /joke

C'mon, does this even need to be a debate? I'm left handed, but I adapted mad quick when I was young and can play all Zelda games fine regardless of what hand I'm using. And, now I can do several things with my right hand so it's a win win.

Nintendo, for the first time in years, you listened to your fans!!!

Given theres plenty of different links, the idea of "he" is being left/right is a bit silly anyway.

Good stuff on Nintendo for having that option for lefties!

That said though, what do left handed players here feel about using the nunchuck in the right hand for movement - I know with dual analogue sticks these days, using the right hand for movement isn't that big a deal, but trying a nunchuck in the right hand for me doesn't feel quite right.

Holy crap... this game is blowing my freaking mind! I can't wait! Smilie Smilie Smilie My sister is left-handed, so this is a plus for her!

On November 21st (in North America), you'll know where to find me... knee deep in empty styrofoam ramen noodle cups, swinging a Wii remote+ around with my massive arms I will have developed from playing Skyward Sword for 20 straight hours...

It would take about 5 minutes of getting use to for me with holding the Nunchuck in my right hand, but I guess with some it would mess their coordination up.

Never really noticed that. Thanks for pointing that out!! Most likely I'll be playing Left handed if it's an option. I'll feel more like Link. ;3

I'm a lefty, but I'll be playing with the Wii Remote+ in my right hand, as I find it rather uncomfortable holding the nunchuck in my right hand... it just doesn't feel right.

I might give the left-handed "mode" a go, once I've completed it. I doubt I'd be any good at it though, I honestly don't see how people can comfortably hold and use the nunchuck in their right hand.
