Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love

This is the first review I've ever written that others are actually able to (hopefully) read. I picked this game up because I heard some good things about it and thought it was worth a try. I ended up loving it and since there is no official C3 review for that game yet and I'm apparently the only one here who has actually played it, I decided to make it my first reader review. Reader reviews also seem to be downright dead around here so I thought I'd make one and hopefully a few others will follow (probably less detailed though).

Keep in mind, I'm not very experienced in writing reviews yet so I'd really appreciate some feedback, given that you actually feel like reading this review. I tend be to very in-depth with my reviews and providing more information/hints that are actually needed, so I'm not sure if it's too long or detailed. Would also appreciate some feedback on that. Thanks in advance to anyone who's going to read my review and/or leave a comment.

Well, speaking as someone who did a load of these at one point, your debut Reader Review is excellent Sirlink.

I wouldn't say there's such a thing as a review that is too long (unless it repeats itself which thankfully yours doesn't ), but this does feel a bit too lengthy. Still, you clearly have a set writing structure in place, with an effective Intro and Outro to begin and end on, and judging from my own hands-on time with the game, you've summed it up perfectly. Top marks!

Thanks for the kind words! I figured that it might be a bit too lenghty simply because people are more likely to be turned off by long reviews like this and would rather read shorter reviews. Glad you took the time though! Looking back at it, I noticed some parts I could have trimmed a bit to make it a shorter but still very informative read. Truth to be told, I simply sat down for three hours writing this review and was just reminiscing about everything I experienced during ~60 hours I played of the game, so that's maybe why it's so extremely detailed.

Again, thanks a lot for the feedback. I'll keep writing some reader reviews of less known games or even some classics I'm going to play at some point in the future and as long as at least one person reads and likes them, it's worth the effort for me.
