Well, Project Café is a really shit name, and obviously just an internal codename. It was never going to be that once it hit shelves.

Naming it "Nintendo" would be a fantastic return-to-form for the company, as far as home console names go. I still think Wii is a shit name.

Maybe something that honours the first two consoles? We had NES, SNES. Nintendo Entertainment Centre would have been cool if NEC hadn't already been taken.

What it this, I don't even.

But thinking about it, I actually like it. It's a nice, recognizable name and besides, people already call game machines "Nintendo".

"Son! I thought I told you to turn off that Nintendo!"

Exactly, it would act as a homage to the NES and SNES. Hopefully returning back to that hardcore, "Nintendo hard", gaming form.

Certainly, a name more in line with the first few Nintendo systems would be awesome. If it's just "Nintendo", I'm liking it.

Hm I guess it could be worse.
I kinda liked Striim.

Not sure what to think, but what would be awesome would be for them to name it Famicom or Famicom+something in Japan. That's a highly regarded brand over there, and naming it that way would really nail in the idea in gamers' minds that the system is aimed at hardcore gamers again.

Works for me. Before the name "Wii" was announced, I liked the rumor (I think it was a rumor) that it was going to be called NES V.

I've always advocated the Super Duper Nintendo Entertainment System.

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

I don't like it. Especially how Nintendo tried to capture the casual market this generation, wouldn't they become confused about the title of the next console. I also believe this is one reason the 3DS isn't doing too great. It's name is too similar to the DS. Parents will be like, well you already have one DS, why do you need another?

I like Stream but I can see all the jokes already: "Out of the Wii comes the Stream" and the like. Would they just call it Nintendo? I reaaaaaaaaaaally don't think so.

This would be fine with me. I've always called all of my systems "Nintendo" regardless.

"Let's play Nintendo" - a phrase that's been heard for over 20 years in my house.

Just "Nintendo?" No, no way will the name grab more customers and advertise the new idea of the new home console. Honestly, I'm thinking "Nintendo Stream" is the best name out of all the names rumored because it will promote the main idea of the new Nintendo home console and hey it actually sounds pretty catchy. The names like, "Wii 2" and Wii HD" are way too unoriginal and do not sound catchy nor are they promoting a new technology because HD is already popular and with the Name Wii HD they will mostly be promoting HD which is not new in the gaming world. Wii 2 is too boring and actually very unoriginal in the advertising world. "Nintendo Beam" is different but in actuality it really does sound kinda corny but I will say it is a close 2nd to Nintendo Stream
