Any one who has played Rogue Leader will agree that the flight levels in Rebel Strike are as good as they have ever been, possibly even better with the amount of enemy ships on screen. But the game is rather let down by it's On Foot levels. They can sometimes turn simply into mass A button bashing moments and the auto lock on is awful. What are your views?

The flying levels are superb and make for an immense gaming experience. The on-screen action is intense and the controls and physics are just about perfect, but as you say the on-foot sections ruin it. The controls are abysmal and it is imposible to enjoy many of the on-foot levels due to some very sinister level design. You die all over the place, you get confused and there are too many of them! It could have worked so well, but when you spatter a beautfiul game (flying sections) with some of the worst on-foot fighting on the GameCube you are going to come out with an infuriating final product.

Trying to think of a witty signature after 'Hacker-gate'...

seriously i played the demo and the on foot were pretty fun...are they like this the rest of the game?

Well really the on foot elvles do no vary, so if you liked it on the demo, you'll probably like them in the rest of the game, but to be honest I found them far too dilute.

really...that's all too well

I just bought this game, as it was only a tenner in my local Blockbuster (ex-rental, I s'pose). Haven't had much chance to play it yet, though from what I've seen, the flying levels are beautifully designed, whilst the on-foot missions suffer from some of the worst camera-problems I've seen in recent years...but overall, it seems like a reasonable game (certainly I'm sure it will offer ten quid's worth of entertainment anyway, and I'm not even a Star Wars fan)...Mind you, the main reason I bought it was for the multiplayer; can anyone tell me what the multiplayer is like?

Co-op play is great! Extremely fun and challengeing and there's new ways to tackle each mission with a decent wingman! First level is great co-op!

Dogfights are very fun a little easy in palces, if you have homing missiles, but 4 players is crazy! Relics on Geonosis is great for dog fights!

Yep, the foot mission are damn ugly, but the co-op is brilliant. They re-vamped the original game so it's harder.

Battle of Endor! Battle of Endor!

i love the flying missions, though thought they were over way too quickly.

the foot ones were diabolical and really ruined the game.

the co-op mode is realyl enjoyable and some of the missions take a lot longer now with the added difficulty (specially if ure mate is crap).

the versus mode is quite enjoyable as well.

I know how that feels! Smilie

I would of liked to play some of the newer levels in Co-op as well, but you can't get everything I suppose.

^^ I think you can. Action Replay or there's a cheat or something. It's a bit vague, sorry.
