i dont know if its my gamecube or if its the mario party 5 disk but every once and a while the game brings up this message saying "An error has occured. please turn off the gamecube and refer to the nintindo gamecube instructions for more information" and its only happening to this game not my other ones. So can somebody tell me what the heck its doing it? it drives me nuts. Smilie

It usually happens when your disc is dusty or scratched. try wiping it with a cloth with some water or alcohol, then drying it. That usually helps Smilie

i just got the game. and the disk is perfectly clean

Well if it's new the only thing I can say is your GCN lens might be glitching...

its strange it only happens with this game tho Smilie

That is strange... Maybe it'll stop soon.

It might be yourr memory card if its unofficial

what does it have to do with my memory cards? Smilie

its nutin 2 do wit de memory cards, mines new aswell n i got that alot. just clean it n u shouldnt av a problem agen. worked 4 me.

Ok do NOT wipe your disk with water. That is just plain stupid. I'd use a static proof cloth .

Also, don't just rub the disk with a cloth. Start at the middle, and wipe outwards, then move around the disc.

That is weird. I as well have Mario Party 5, just got it on Christmas, and it has never happened to me. Does the game ever work? I don't know if they do it in England too but I know that here in the U.S.A. if a game is defective less than 3 months of purchase, you can get a replacement from Nintendo for free. Smilie

but thats what the gamecube instruction manual tells you to do. i did that with mario sunshine, and it worked fine afterwards.

This happened to me when i bought WrestleMania 18. The disk wasnt scratched or anything put when I put it in the GC it just wouldnt load a box came up saying something about reffering to the instruction manual. I tried everything but in the end i just took it back and got my money back. I think thats what you will have to do.....
