Rubbish...he's just bigging up his new friends. The fact is Nintendo alone could do it.

I wont mind TN making another game on Nintendo's next console, I think doing so should allow them to create a game engine that's better able to satisfy everyone. Other M's doesn't, it's control issues are brought about by inadequacies in the game engine, the majority of which are present due to technical limitations.

If they get given the next Metroid game, it would be a bad idea in my eyes. I think it's "time to go!' in another direction - a new 3D based game bringing in elements which Other M has brought in. And then, when the time comes, Team Ninja can follow suit using the 3D game for inspiration.

Eventually, I'd like to see a perfect merging between 2D and 3D Metroid.

Other m is a good game. Great even, only flawed not by controls, but by the lack of epic audio when exiting the elevator, or sneaking up a hallway. The sounds just aren't bassy.

The gameplay is very very good though, I really don't understand how that bothers people. It's just different, but very intuitive.

This game is so ahead of its time that I would love to have a bigger, better, more epic other m sequel. Great story, brilliant feel. In time, people will come to see its marvel.

I'm really enjoying it. It isn't Prime, but it feels like such a different game that it doesn't really matter. I can't see why people are having control difficulties, I find them very intuitive and immersive.

Saying that, I'd love to see somebody different have a crack at another game, like Platinum.

Add me on anything. I'm always looking for new friends/opponents/town visitors/chances to appear more popular than I actually am.

Can't we just not have a DKC inspired Metroid Instead. Purely 2D with a nice 3D background?

This is a bit silly really.

Team Ninja would just over melodrama everything and make Samus out to be an emotional wreck again.

The gameplay was amazing honestly but everything else was pretty flawed and I really wouldn't want this melodrama to be a mainstay.

I felt as if this mysterious side to Samus was gone playing this game. I enjoyed not knowing a whole lot about Samus and having a lack of story in the Metroid series. Some characters are better without a huge epic story imo

Mario, Mega Man and Rayman FTW!!!

I LOVE Other M. The graphics are beautiful, the cinematics are gorgeous, the music is eerie and moving, and the story is absolutely epic. I'm still reeling over what happened... so tragic. I'm also amazed by how well the cinematics transitioned into the real time game engine then back.

The only small gripe I have is that the English dialogue was a bit wooden in some places. I didn't find it as bad as some people were saying but it could've used more emotion. It's too bad the original Japanese audio wasn't included. The voice acting was much more genuine and believable.

Regardless, Other M is simply in-cred-ible. Team Ninja did a stellar job with Nintendo and I'd LOVE to have them back for another Metroid outing.

Agreed. I recently completed Other M and I'm still floored by how well everything was implemented. The gameplay mechanics and controls worked fantastically. I didn't have any problems with them so I really can't say I understand what the critics were talking about. Maybe they just plain suck. lol JK Smilie

Well actually you may be on to something there....

I haven't played the full game, but I played the demo that was shown at E3, and the controls were perfectly fine then, I think it's the cutscenes that ruin the game really.

I think what Other M did was split the fanbase between those who love the story and those who hate it.

I've finished Metroid Other M and can say I loved every minute of it. The game play was great. I usually don't like boss battles, because they are usually much harder than the rest of the game. But in Other M, I couldn't wait for the next boss battle they we're really well done.

Acording to a lot of reviews the plot was full of holes, but to be honest I don't know what those reviewers are talking about. The story was great! Finally she's a three dimentional human being, with emotions and a story. Yes the story does get a bit melodramatic at times, but most of the time it's fine and well written. Samus' can seem a little lacking emotion in the delivery of some lines, but you've got to put that into the context, that she's a bounty hunter who has to control her emotions and be strong most of the time. Her outpouring of emotions in the story is because she's with people she feels close to. When your someone who keeps a hold of emotion most of the time you may be prone to a bit of melodrama when you finally show your emotion.

I loved everything about this game exept the fact it's not as long as I'd like. But when a games this good, it'll never be long enough.

@Trepe: I agree. Good points. Smilie The horrifically traumatic experience she had when she was just a child plus her upbringing with the Chozo pretty much closed her off from expressing herself outwardly. Context is crucial.
