While Mike Pollock is brilliant, the rest of the Sonic cast are gonna be replaced by more experienced and passionate VAs, finally.

It's a shame because some of the 4Kids VAs were really growing on me, but this is still pretty cool. Sonic's VA has great voice range.

Here's a halfassed wishlist of mine for anyone who cares Smilie

Mad word, man.

But seriously, to me this sounds ridiculous.
If he sounds ANYTHING like Chris Redfield, I'll probably start laughing and not stop until I die.

Srs.

Having said this, never was a fan of Sonic's voice, and I do wonder what the rest'll sound like =3

I kinda doubt it. RE is a B-Movie parody, and the fact that his VA sounds so cheesy when voicing Chris as opposed to his other roles is a testament to how great a VA he is really.

It means he knows and can fit into the role, so hopefully he'll get the hang of Sonic much quicker than Sonic's previous VAs, which all have their fair share of being extremely annoying.

I think we should just go back to the first good voice of Sonic from the middle-ish 90's cartoons. Yes I'm talking the one, the only:

"Jaleel White" A.K.A. "Steven Q. Urkel"

Yes, Yes, YES!!! Smilie

I commented on this on Facebook:

Well, this is better than that Jason Anthony Griffith bastard. LEO BURNETT AND 4KIDS ARE THE DEVIL.

It requires great courage to look at oneself honestly, and forge one's own path.

All he needs is a surfer dude's voice and he's set. That's what Sonic sounds like to me. He sounds like a typical American "dude" who spends way too much time on the beach.

I can't imagine a gruff Sonic or posh English Sonic. That, however, would be fun!

Oh god no, anything but that!! Dx

I'd even take Drummund again over him ._.

I hated Tails voice but I thought Sonic's voice suited him. The main problem in Sonic is the script. Give them silly one-liners and they'll sound silly no matter who's voicing them.

I dunno. If you have a really awesome voice actor you can make lines sound amazing that would otherwise sound like shit.

Snake's probably not the best example, but he's a decent one. He has a lot of cheesy lines (not as much as Sonic mind) but David Hayter just makes him sound kickass with every line.

Maybe now Sonic will sound his age instead of talking like a 10 year old like in the cartoons. This could be the turning point for Sonic. Lets just hope he doesn't dissapoint.

Chance favors the prepared mind.

Hahaha! I read this the other day, and I loved it so much, that I did a comic about it.

Check it here. -------> http://rmsshorts.flapjackstudios.com/vgs1.html <--------

Haha, great and sad news at the same time. ^_^
