£14 for 90 days isn't too bad tbh. And certainly since people might get bored for a year.
I pity the people that can't get it from the Wii shop Smilie Have to shell out more money for the same amount of points.

=_=

This isn't even an MMORPG, why should we need to pay? It's really quite lame :/

That's 20$ here in the US for 90 days of online, I'd rather put those points towards WiiWare or VC. Then there's the fact that they haven't pointed out whether you have to play every day consecutively to get your money's worth or the days are used upon you logging on.

yeah the initial gameplay does look to have some sort of depth to it, but the online doesn't look to have enough for me to want to subscribe. I'm finding it hard to believe that if this game was on the PS3 that people would pay just to take the game online, but at the same time people in Japan do love this series. As far as US sales I think this game is going to be left on the shelves because of the pay to play feature.

That\'s not too bad. WoW costs €13 per month. Although admittedly, a MMORPG does provide a lot more gameplay.
Here you just play online what you can do offline as well.

Edit: what\'s with the free deals? 20 or 90 days? And both free? I think I\'ll pick the 20 days, I\'m afraid I won\'t use the extra 70 free days.

Does this game have offline multiplayer?

If not, the PSP Monster Hunter games are probably superior in almost every way. =_=

It has 2player split screen.

Japan have always had to pay supscription charges for Monster Hunter.

We will have to wait and see what they plan for the western market.

They're going to have a tough time convincing Wii owners in Europe and America, who are used to free online service, that their game is worth these fees. I don't think Monster Hunter has a fanatical following anywhere outside of Japan.

Unless they are actively providing new content each month (like most MMOs do), the price is completely unjustified.
