Probably won't get as good without motion controls.
But I do appreciate him starting the series on Wii. At least we'll be getting a few solid titles out of him.
The low cost and profitable sales margin made the wii big and powerfull. But it also reaches its limits sooner because of its lower technological level, yet due to sales figures nintendo might not care enough about that in time.
And that's when the wii hd comes in late, gets a full relapse into n64 famed underdog-ness, and the cycle is complete. The second console after that will be the new revolutionary nintendo powerhouse we wanted, yet with its wii like flaw to generate another down-up cycle again.
But make sure a fully backwards compatible wii hd gets here real soon and you can stay on top of your "sales" game, mr nintendo.
But oh, how marketing laws give you numbers that lie to you - it guarantees you a downfall.
Well, I'm pretty sad to hear this, but from a creative perspective I guess I can understand what he's thinking. It sounds like he's trying to cram a whole lot into this next game, and I can see why he would want greater processing power for the games. At least, though, I sincerely hope he will still continue to develop original properties for Nintendo consoles, because so far he has been one of the best names in third-party support for their consoles.
Well not everyone learns from their mistakes I guess. Killer7 was built primarily for GC but the publisher got greedy and demanded a PS2 version. The PS2 version killed any chance that IP had.
As long as it keeps the witty dialogue and interesting stories i don't care what console they end up on. Wii still has plenty of talented developers left that can push the boundaries.
While the game will be different without motion control, I would be excited to see what they can do with this game with a more powerful platform.
Why is everyone assuming that he is talking about processing power?
This is what you say if you want your game to bomb.
Seriously, it's retarded. Nintendo fans are very loyal. They love exclusives, they love some N-love. Saying that you're going to drop Nintendo support before releasing your last game for it, is asking for low sales.
