It’s poll number 4! It's 2003! It's the same stolen star image!

The nominees are:

Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker - Gamecube, Nintendo - EAD
Metroid Prime - Gamecube, Retro Studios
Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire - GBA, Nintendo - Game Freak
Burnout 2: Point of Impact - Various, Criterion Games
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic - Various, Bioware
Viewtiful Joe - Various, Capcom
Mario Kart: Double Dash!! - Gamecube, Nintendo - EAD
F-Zero GX - Gamecube, Amusement Vision
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time - Various, Ubisoft Montreal
Beyond Good & Evil - Various, Ubisoft Montpellier/Milan

In the industry we call this a 'toughie'. Then we have a big toke on our South African drugs reefer-style spliff doobie and ponder the semiotic idiosyncrasies and pronunciational misdirections of said word.

Same drill - poll stays open, no hurry, play games first, etc, etc, ignore dartmonkey’s requests and plough in with a vote for the only one you’ve played.

Goits.

Past polls still votabababababable: 2000.
2001.
2002.

Less posty, more gamey.

BG&E.

How did double dash get on there?

Hmmm tough choice between Viewtiful Joe and Beyond good and evil.

Kotor trounces every game on that list... x_X

Aki-T spilt the water.

This is incredibly hard, Metroid Prime and Wind Waker are both such awesome games... what and knights of the old republic is there too. Hmmm, I might just have to go with Wind Waker since I am sucker for a good adventure.

Obvious choice here.Prince Of persia Sands of time.
It revolutionised the sereies and made the whole thing fresh. The mechanics have been taken to new levels and are used in a lot of games to day. Prince of persia, Assasins Creed 1+2, Mirrors Edge and a few others.

Oh feck, I've a choice of four.

...

Damnit I have to go with KOTOR on this one.

Pokémon.
The amount of time I put into that game is ridiculous. I wanted to vote for Wind Waker, but... in the long run I had a much better time with Pokémon.

I voted Metroid Prime. None of the other games made such a huge impression on me, and it's one of the very few games I was motivated to complete 100% and on hard mode as well. Atmoshpere, graphics, sound, gameplay...everything was just so good.

Although I had a hell of a lot of fun with Burnout 2 and Wind Waker. The only ones I didn't play on that list were Pokemon, Star Wars and Prince of Persia.

I voted Wind Waker but wanted to pick Pokemon also. Smilie

I got a lot more time out Pokemon but I found Wind Waker to be the better experience.

KOTOR hasn't aged well in my opinion. Looking back on it, it's not all that special.

The Emulation for it on the 360 is rubbish, but I still enjoy playing it now and again. Shame Obsidian rushed the sequel. Smilie

Truly the Gamecube's finest hour.

Still no question for me though, Metroid Prime.

Was always better on PC tbh.

The sequel would (would) have been better if they wern't forced to rush it. But meh, its still one of the best rpg's in the last 10 years by far. Don't expect it to win on a Nintendo board though =P

I'm with Echoes. Sands of Time.

Very Nintendo orientated.... Well its gotta be Wind Waker, i remember making the trek on the release date to get this game and remember playing it for the first time! Truly classic game, let alone the bargain deal of getting the OoT bonus disc!

Tough list but I'll have to go for F Zero GX. The amount of time, effort and frustration I went through with this game... just incredible. I love it. One of the best racers out there. Absolute hell to complete. Have no idea what MK DD is even on that list, horrible game.

Knights of the Old Republic. I played it on the Xbox originally, so I think that helps any aging problems (for me, it's always harder to play a game 10 years after it was released for the first time than playing it new as well as later...hope you can drag some sense out of that).

I love the story and the characters. And for some reason I love Bioware's style of games where you have conversations with people that can affect the game. Every time I play it I try to do something a bit different. It's one of the few games I can play and replay from start to finish. It's the only I've replayed four times. Every year, about the start of the summer, I just get the urge to play Knights of the Old Republic.

Viewtiful Joe and F-Zero GX would be my runners up. I loved playing those games.
