After all the hype and 'ooh Nintendo give me the fu***ng game' covering the internet and to a more calm extent, magazines, I imported Animal Crossing. I was dissapointed, very dissapointed. So I got thinking what might be nice ina bigger better AC2. The obvious addition is to make it online. The modem-ised gaming revolution have very much passed my by, not many games appeal, but if Nintendo were to launch AC2, ONLINE, well, I could't resist. People moving into cimmunties, causing havoc or helping you out, and then you get to like eachother and want to go and start a new life somewhere else, so off you go. Get to know new people, get new jobs, new house, new settings. God the possibilities are endless. So, what would you like to see?

Trying to think of a witty signature after 'Hacker-gate'...

What would work?

Delay it..... till the next Ninty console and make sure its online!

DO YOU! So Cute - bit.ly/yIEgXv

have the AI so it picks up certain words that you can write, and these can have secrets in them or can show that you're angry/happy/whatever to a better degree

Cities instead of towns. And u get a vehicle to get around (eventually). Like GTA3 sept with no crime and much kiddier graphics. Smilie

Doesn't Mir make great sigs? I am the MOCRI (master of completely random insanity).

A city would be pimp! Smilie Smilie

how can you be dissapointed?! anyway...

It's down to personal preference, mate. I'm not a fan myself of games in the genre, however it does seem interesting and I may import from Australia when I have time to spare.

As for a sequel, perhaps the idea Leroy mentioned would be great and maybe taking the online concept Tempo suggested. Smilie

I borrowed AC off David, and it was alright for a bit, but then you had doe everything worth doing and all you could do was wait for some spasticated frog to move in down in D4 or whatever...

It was alright for a bit.
Maybe AC2 should have something more longlasting in it?

'~,'~,'~,'~,'~,'~,'~,'~,'~,'~,'~,'~,'~,'~,'~,'~,'

What is needed is *the ability to import your previous AC files*. Think about it, it could be a true sequal. Maybe they could have it so you move out of your previous village (that you did in the original game) - and move into a much bigger "town". Then they could make it so your previous friends from the previous games write you letters and send gifts etc - referring to past experiences from the original, or maybe even pay you a visit. That would be sooooooooo cool!

On top of that, I'd like to see even more connectivity, because it was connectivity that really made the original great. More e-reader cards, more everything. Maybe online play - I'd say the original AC was really begging for online but nintendo really did well working around this by having as larger sence of community as possible with an offline game, if you get me. But it really could've done with online and don't rule out GC being online in the future, its still not closed - it could still happen. And when nintendo get right behind online play, they'll do it better than anyone else - trust me.

Although a game like this could backfire should they release it in Europe (which I'm pretty certain is the plan this time). If it links with the previous game, then people who imported it would import it again. Unless NOE just accept their losses and let the european version be compatable with the american files - which to them would be admitting defeat. But when nintendo of Japan makes these games, they work to make the best games possible, so I doubt they wouldn't do it like this just to keep NOE happy - NOE really not having much to do with NOJ. But whatever they do with AC2 - I'm sure it'll be great! Smilie

The Problem with importing old files would be EUROPE DIDN'T GET AC, so would be pointless for us!

I'd like to see a 4-player mode, imagine being all able to intereact on one screen, ok maybe it wouldn't work but it'd be novel to say the least.

Actually make it where you can do sh*t instead of playing it 10 minutes, getting bored off your arse and regretting ever buying the damn thing. Online would make it better too.

"This is my friend Big Fat Paulie, and this is his big fat ass."

Takign it online as well wuld help the abilty to download new stuff to the towns.

The problem with the first is once you pay off your morgage. Thats it. Your money just increases!

Yeah, europe didn't get AC - but pretty much everyone in Europe has it. Infact, one of the bestselling strategy guides on Amazon.co.uk is infact Animal Crossing - and thats for a UK website! So EU gamers would deffinatly benefit from it and even if they didn't implement this in the european game, I would import it so I could use my american file.
Click here if you don't beleive me about the amazon thing

4-player mode is a good idea, it could be a laugh - it dosn't exactly lend itself to 4-player but if nintendo are clever (which they are) they could make it work really well.
