Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix just sucked in quite a few ways, in my opinion. Not the definitive version of Street Fighter II.

Heathen.

Just played the demo, offline 2-player only available and 6 characters. Spiderman, Iron man, Wolverine, Chun Li, Ryu and the best ever Strider. Looks the same as the arcade and once i invite someone round to play it, should be fun. No comp to verse....

One thing I have to say about this game is that unlike SFII HD, this actually has really good animation, so the balance of visuals and animation is actually pretty good this time around.

the framerate is the she-yit.

God tier demo roster team.

Iron Man[AA]/Strider[variety]/Spider Man[AA]

Oh,and those MvC sticks were confirmed to be fake.Smilie

Those are the only characters that I use in the game. Srtider is by far one of the best, his super moves are awsome and they do so much damage. I think that I will have to see what the online is like though.

I get the feeling online is gonna be alot like SF2 HD, basically if you get a laggy match it is impossible to play on lol
Game does look surprisingly good though, looking really forward to using megaman Smilie

This version Marvel vs Capcom 2 isn\'t a HD Remix like SSF2T was.

It\'s just a re-release, or port if u like, of the original.

It should be called Marvel vs Capcom 2 A Bit Smoother

The funny thing is it still looks way better than SFII-HD.

Ah right, it just has one of them cheap filters to make it look higher resolution.

Yeah... something like that, y'know there's been footage released. Has nobody seen it?

You didn't think it looked like a cheap Flash game? You didn't think that the poor animation contrasted badly with the super-sharp sprites, or that some of the redrawn characters didn't look right, or that the announcer sounds completely wrong? As for MvC2, the 720p polygonal backgrounds will probably clash quite badly with the sprites that were designed for a total screen resolution of 320 x 240. It was noticeable enough on PS2 and Xbox.

Maybe the filter they're using for the sprites is good? I'll try and find one of them videos.

Well the animation was kept the same to keep the feel of street fighter 2, cos the proper hardcore SF fans count frames and stuff. And it doesn't look like a cheap flash game.

I think it does. What I find more intolerable though is how some of the redrawn characters look really shit. Cammy's eyes are insanely far apart, and too small. She looks like an insect. Then there's the announcer.. he just sounds like they got some random guy from McDonalds to read the lines. It's not like the announcer in Street Fighter was ever the height of voice acting, I know. But at least before it was well done, to an extent. In SFIIHD, it's just shockingly bad.

Having played the SFIIHD I have to agree with Martin, it really is not the denifitive version that it was plied to us all as being.

MvCHD does look to me as being a difinitive version. Hopefully it will perform better online and at least give a few games that are lag free. That would make the buying it almost worth it.

Resolution wouldn't hardly matter due to the speed of MvC2. Smilie

Local multiplayer is definitely always best for games such as Street Fighter. As for other genres, it's not so clear cut. For instance, I've never had a local multiplayer game of Left 4 Dead with fifteen other players simultaneously. That's where online multiplayer really shines, and local multiplayer can't really compete.
