I got the game yesterday, with bonus disc.

so far i have only palyed the training and first impressions are good. The training is more through and breaks of onto different sections for different areas, such as speedbike and AT-ST. the main free flying area in your T-16 skyhopper though seems to be a much more cut down version of the original.

The third-person bits arnt too bad and the main flying sections appear to be pretty much the same with no real changes though the display is slightly more different.

anyway ill be going to play it more in a bit and will give you more information then.

Well I hated Rogue Leader so this has never been one to get for me. I thought it lacked any sense of fun and spark, and with tempos review telling me this version is totally naff, it just makes it worse and worse in my view. Smilie

Was that needed Freddie?

And I agree everyones making out the on foot levels are much worse then they actually are.

after playing it more i would end up giving it a score of around 75%

the missions are too short, some of them dont give you too much information, the on foot sections are linear, theres not much freedom, the speederbike sections are frustration - these are the major problems with the game.

if you like the series you like this game, though the second one is still the best.

if they make another game they should concentrate on the flying sections and probably scrap the on-foot sections alltogether.

right, that was my mini-review.

Well after playing Rebel Strike for two days I would give the game about 91%.

The missions are a lot more exciting than they have been in the previous games and there's a lot more going on during a battle. Lengh wise the missions don't differ too much from RS2: Rogue leader, Some are shorter, some are longer. I love the variety of veicals too choose from and I don't think I will ever get bored of the ATST and Swoop bike sections as there is so much replability to be had there.

However like The_Project mentioned, the on foot sections are a little linear and on certain missions the camera angles can get pretty awquard, if there is another sequel to Rogue squadron 3, I would strongly recommend fixing it.

But to finish off, in my opinion this is the best of the series so far and won't dissapoint any fans of the series. Smilie

Currently playing: Resident Evil & Super Mario Sunshine!

Plus EWOKS! That's worth buying it alone!

Give it an original storyline, original characters, original missions - I'm sold. And at least actually *explain* whats going on (with RS2 having not seen star wars or anything, I hadn't got a clue what the purpose of any of the levels were because they game just assumed you knew - its a sign of a big rip-off that just relies on its licence and nothing else). No I wasn't very impressed with the previous game, it wasn't awful but it wasn't very good - 5/10 is all.

also i found the levels a lot easier to complete this time with me completing most in one go.
