I couldn't say. I think that the Dreamcast owners blindly began following Sonic.
I haven't bought Sonic since Sonic Adventures on the DC.
I think your right especially as most of the best sega titles for the dreamcast are re-appearing on the GC aswell as some brand new ones.
I had a DC a PS1 and an N64 at one time and after Sega announced they were pulling out of the console race, I dropped Sony(not literally) and went after the GC rather than the PS2...I think it is because both Sega and Nintendo are older gaming companies and they had a reasonably similar history, so it's almost the same
Most Sega fans were Nintendo fans anyway, it was the media and the mags that tried to stir up rivalry.
Sonic on the Dreamcast was terrible, whoever decided to give sonic a geeky yank kids voice wants a dam good kicking if you ask me.
I don't think they were terrible games, but I definitely think 2D sonic was a WHOLE lot better
