Super Smash Brothers Brawl Preparation

I will probably buy the game but not play it before I visit my brother. Then we'll start the game together and we'll play lots of hours during the weekend. I might even take a week off, don't know yet.

This is basically the only Wii game he's interested in.

Lemme see...

- Enough money, check
- Dedicated friends to chip in and help... check
- Anger towards Nintendo of Europe, check
- Experience with Japanese games, check
- Japanese Wii + Brawl cheaper than US Wii + Brawl, check.
- Possibility of playing Brawl before it even comes out in US, check.

And just how will you do that last one?

Japanese Wiis are cheaper anyway, not to mention a lot more plentyful than US Wiis. US Wii will be selling for a LOT in the next few weeks I\'d imagine, so if I can get Japanese Wii + Brawl for well under �200, that\'s more than good enough for me.

Still trying to track down a good Wii to play it on.

gamecube games = gamecube controller (and some wii games)
classic games = classic controller (and some wii games)
thanks be to god we can use our wii-motes and gamecube remotes for brawl or i\'d be forking out alot of money for 4 player action

So glad about the delays, out of money for the next two months, then shitloads of A2 exams, then Greece for two weeks, the Spain for 3, then Reading Festival, but by then it had better be out.

I'm just gonna play it until I unlock Falco at which point I'll get online and merk you all.

Well to simplify it I can't travel to the US for the launch so no tourneys for me [you were lucky this time fanboys ]. But I'm not sad at all 'cause my bro is going to the US before the launch so he'll be in the line but he won't participate in any tourney either [he's a plain guy who doesn't like Smash...curse you my brother!]. With the travel back and all that, I'll be getting the game on March 23 [you were lucky this time too possers ].

Anyway. March 23's night will be my amazing Brawl introduction. Maybe I'll miss school the next day or week .

Ugh, Falco is plagued with problems that make him the Jesus of Brawl. It will be funny when one third of people online use Falco.

Heh, maybe infinate laser should be banned from tournaments.

And everyone on C3 is so confident (fair enough I guess) but I can't wait to see who is actually as good as they say they are.

I don't think anyone here can pull off Ken Combo with ease.

Random matches in Brawl are pulled from those in your region, if you buy the U.S version they will be pulled from the North America, it's something to consider if you do not have a great connection.

Will importing mean more connection issues?, my thinking is that random matches as well as long distances involved could spell more than a few problems according to what I have read around.

Well I\'ve been thinking about that Basically from what Dojo shows is that no message can be sent to the Wii message board unless it is sent with a snapshot or Stage. Now the point im trying to make is. Since we all have lives and we may well take a short break from Brawl after releasing all the smash anxiety we have. How will our Brawl friends contact us without our Wii code or having to send a stage/snapshot to us? Because I don\'t want to send a snapshot every time I\'m eager to battle a friend that isn\'t playing smash at the time.

Must be infuriating to have Brawl, but have to wait for the Freeloader to play it.
Really hoping my copy of Brawl and Freeloader arrive about the same time...

eeehh maybe i sould wait till pal brawl i have a pretty good connection but i dont know how it will fair well i suppose i'll have to wait for some feedback

Classic controller works for Brawl. I got a little screwed with reserving it at Gamestop. There's about 4 within 5 miles of my house (no joke) and i reserved it at the one I usually go to. And of course, its the only one around that doesnt have a midnight launch. i was pissed when I found that out the other day.

and goodluck finding a new wavebird. Unless youre using ebay of course.
