I seem to have some sort of bad luck with computers. Nother ever works on my PC, maybe it's the same for some others, but I'm sure I hear people saying all the time that their Torrent programs work really quickly, when the best I can seem to get is 7kB/S... You may remember I've had a lot of DVD problems in th past (which I actually gave up on, but hopefully it'll be solves if I get a new TV for XMAS...)

So, my latest problem is, I've had a Digital Camera for about half a year now, nice little gadget, can film about an hour's worth of video when it's got a lot of space on it. So me and some friends decided we'd film some of our matches on games like Smash Bros, DBZ, and maybe RE4 (not matches obv, but just playthrough vids)

So I spent ages setting up the tripod to get a good view of the TV (my camera can't direct record from the TV, so I have to actually film the screen ^^Smilie and then we got some pretty good matches on there!

My problem: (for those who didn't want to read my essay Smilie)

The movie files from the camera are MOV files (as usual) which I can't put into Movie Maker or YouTube, so I've been trying for the whole day to find a way to convert them to AVIs, I've gone through tons which never properly worked for me, and now I've got a program called "Blaze Media Pro" which seems to work fine, but the problem is, the sound and the picture always end up incredibly out of sync by the end of the video, how the hell can I fix this? Or is there an easier way to get MOV. files onto Movie Maker?

Any help would be much appreciated ^^

Total Video Converter will do everything for you. You can download the trial version here and then when that runs out, buy it.. or get it some other way. Smilie

You can convert to all video formats known to man and you can change their resolution - handy for making YouTube vids stream smoothly.

I wish YouTubers actually knew that. Smilie

My videos have actually converted fine, my problem is that the sound and video grow horribly out of sync by the end of the movie, can it fix that?

If it works well then I may try it out...

Keep the suggestions coming anyway, I'm going to try that out, if it works I'll post Smilie

I bought Allok video convertor for

I'm almost sure Youtube accepts .mov files.

If you're serious about recording game videos you should get a USB TV Box or run them through a dvd recorder.

SoundWorks, that program didn't work for me, it kept giving me an error as soon as I told it to convert, I'm not surprised in the slightest, nothing ever seems to work for me :-/

YouTube may accept them... but I can't get them onto Movie Maker. I might try a better alternative than Movie Maker though. I'm just worries I'll spend ages trying out something that'll never work on my PC >.<

How do I run then through a DVD recorder? It doesn't matter anyway, none of my DVD players can record...

So either way I hafta get something Smilie a better camera, a new DVD player (hell no, I just got one lasT XMAS...) or a USB TV Box, which I don't actually know anything about.

Yeah, i agree with Knighty - direct feed is so much better quality.

Trust me, if I could direct feed, I would, I spent literally hours trying to find out if my camera could do it...

Okay I have a solution to all your problems

After a quick google the cheapest Hard disk recorder i could find was

But really, the video quality is the least of my worries. Smilie What I really need is a converter that will keep my video and audio in sync when it changes MOV to AVIs :-/

If you can get TVC to work, that should keep them in sync - it always has done for me.

Well, I can't get it to work >.<

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, nothing ever works for me. Smilie
