Capcom and Nintendo are the only one making good game for wii! well we all know Big N was all way going to be good at some up with game and new ideas but Capcom is doing well too.

res evil 4 was a bit of a lazy port but it was done well unlike alot of other but now we geting Jack and wiki,Okami,Monster hunter 3,res evil UC they have be the only developer apart from Big N to really take on the wii and make good game that play and looks good.

how long befor all the other developer fully take on the wii like capcom is doing?

To be fair, Capcom are only now showing more support. Okami Wii should have been announced ages ago, and Monster Hunter 3 only recently made the switch, (I commend them on Zack & Wiki though).
Other companies will offer more soon enough, there has to be quite a lot in the pipeline. Smilie

Jack and Wiki Smilie.

Yeah I agree, a bit, it would seems so right now, but you really do have to wait even longer for the 3rd party games in development to be unveiled before you pass judgement. So far much of the output from them have been tired PS2 ports with tacked on Wii controls and uninspiring games, but that will end eventually.

Developers already know how profitable the platform is, with time, with the success of those such games, developers will increase their Wii budgets and put more resources in producing top quality Wii software. Nintendo have already got past the biggest hurdle which was rounding up 3rd party support after the GC. They have done a fantastic job there, that's done, all we need are great games and quality to show them how much money they can make if they are willing to put adequate resources towards Wii projects.

More in the pipeline is a understatement, it going to dwarf 360 output at the end of next year.

SEGA aren't doing too bad. I think they actually tried with Sonic Wii, & Mario & Sonic looks good.

Oh yeah, & the DBZ games are good. But really, nothing compares to what Nintendo have for offer.

Konami are trying.

Gamecock are trying (Mushroom Men).

Ubisoft will hopefully get off their arse and put some effort into Red Steel 2.

Final Fantasy Development Co. are trying.

Peeps who make Geometry Wars look like their putting their arses into gear with the Wii version.

Sega have done quite well.

EA have made a bit of a half hearted effort so far.

Still gotta wait and see for the indies on Wiiware.

Majesco looks like they might have something good.

Atlus are hopefuls for when they do something other than Trauma Centre.

I don't think Konami are trying, they're just trying to seem like they're trying, by making average children's games like Eledees & Dewy's Adventure. No way are we getting proper games from Konami, Nintendo is "not hardcore enough" for them. Smilie

Oh yeah, & gotta love those Harvest Moon games. So full of glitches, but so good. Smilie

?

Eledees was one of the better and original launch games, and Dewy's Adventure was at least a proper attempt at something even if it didn't quite come out as well as they'd have hoped, despite what you wanna say about the games visual style.

*sigh*.

Konami slipped at little with Dewy's but the fact they have Elebits 2 is encouraging, and after watching the Snake Vs Zombie interview and listening to what Kojima says about Wii, I am looking forward to seeing what will come Wii's way.

SEnix are class, I am sure they have much up there sleeves for Wii, just as much as they have for the DS.

Ubisoft and EA still trouble me with their attitude, Ubisoft more than EA.

But that's because the launch was pretty crap, only a few good games, & Eledees was one of them, that's all it was though, good, not to mention it was released in EU long after Excite Truck & Warioware.

As for Dewy's Adventure, it's one of the only good looking games on Wii, it's just a shame the game had to turn out badly.

EDIT: Oh, & I hate Ubisoft, I doubt they'll ever make anything good on Wii, & actually. Surely I'm not the only one who thinks that Red Steel 2 will just be milking a crappy franchise? That's what Raving Rabbids 2 is at least.

well the other have one or two game out that are okist but Capcom give us A+ games

SEGA is doing ok iam happy we got NiGHTS but then what?they sonic and mario but it not really a A+ games is it

I agree, people should stop buying PS2 ports, that is what will help shift a welcome change. The PS2 is corrupting the Wii with it's crap so hopefully it's life will end soon. You can be forgiven for getting RE4 Wii edition and Okami though, most others suck however.

I also agree with that noob above Smilie.

Just to throw something else into the mix, I've been reading recently that some third parties are thinking of toning down Wii support because although Wii has sold loads no one is buying any games for it preferring to use it for Party games such as Wii sports.

Also third parties are not seeing the profits they were expecting from their titles with Nintendo developed titles being the best sellers.

Do you think this is down to peoples use of the Wii or just because the majority of third party efforts have been pretty poor?

Developers hate developing on Nintendo platforms, everyone buys them for nintendo games. They have to include ninty characters in order to sell well.

It helps when the games aren't shite and marketed poorly.

Hell, Red Steel got a pretty bad reputation and hit the million mark. If I remember rightly Sonic and SSX did well in the UK at least didn't they? Not to mention a few Wii versions of multi platform titles sold best on Wii (I think).

Part of the problem is the assumption itself, which then means developers don't bother marketing, then lower sales because of that feed into that assumption, etc etc.

With Wii there's a half decent chance. Much larger sales and supposedly broader reach = potentially epical salez.

Its him... don't worry. Just look at his post count and the PC recommendation thread.

Already sorted, don't worry about it.

I agree with GR, stop buying crappy games/ports. Still, considering Wii is this gen's PS2, but with even MORE casual gamers who don't know how to tell the difference between gold & shit, it's going to be really hard. Nintendo have dug themselves into a huge hole by promoting the Wii with casual games, & the casual gamer can't tell the difference between a Nintendo game & a Ubisoft game, they don't read reviews, they walk into a game shop & they buy any game like Boogie or Raving Rabbids that they see. That's the problem, people won't stop buying these games. As far as some 3rd party developers go, it's a lose-lose situation.

EDIT: Metroid Prime 3 & Mario Galaxy need to be marketed like Halo 3 (to an extent), Nintendo need to go all out, hold nothing back, or the games won't get the reception they deserve. Chances are they'll have a few adverts on TV you'll never see, & 2 or 3 of the same poster in a specialist game shop.

And for once it isn't me doing the stealing!

For Wii i'm quite looking forward to NiGHT and Soul Caliber, and i don't think they are capcom games...but you're right theres still hardly anything decent from most 3rd parties Smilie

Soul Calibre looks shit, give us a normal SC game.

i see what u saying but they have to be good game from third party for ppl to buy and not the shit port that not done that well and just really bad

i didt buy a wii jst for party game and Big N games i got it to get new game play u cant have with out the wii mote

but capcom and Big N are the only one that really trying so they sell good :/

Correct me if i'm wrong...Red steel sold around 700,000 right...because that may not have been a great game but it was one of the few Wii games aimed at core players...

So i think if 3rd party developers made good proper games, they could sell a lot.

I'm far too tempted to unveil the REAL identity of Mr. Kutaragi. Smilie

Anyhow, as Moddie said earlier, there are a fair few developers putting some good work into the Wii. However as GR has said as well, there really doesn't seem to be much incentive to make decent games, when Wii Super shovelware 7 sells more than Metroid Corruption. I think this Christmas, with a wealth of very good games coming out, will be a good testing phase. We just need to hope those good games sell. If they don't, developers may be shy of making any ambitious Wii projects.

Hey Mr Kutaragi joined 3 months before...*cough*...so shouldn't the other one be the alt accountSmilie...yeah i'll switch back...
