I'm about 4 hours into MP3, and have twice now had my Wii reset itself. The screen will go black for about a second, then to blue (no input). The Wii then resets itself with a cheery flash from the disk tray as it takes me back to the Wii menu. I've lost about 45 mins now, and have seen some posts around the net about this. Any insight?? I've had my Wii for about 4 months, and no other game has caused this to happen...do we have a Blue Light of Death!?!?

Hmm, dont know for sure, if it was my Wii though I'd be concerned, sounds like a hardware malfunction, do all your other games work fine?

Sounds strange... maybe you should ask Nintendo about it? It might be just temporary, keep trying, maybe your copy is just faulty? You might be able to swap it.

Hm, that's weird. I haven't hersd of it, I've also beaten the game twice without such an occurrence happening to me. You might complain to Nintendo if someone hasn't already, sorry for your lost time.Smilie

1) Is your game and/or Wii from OOC(Out Of Country)?
2) Have you f***ed up your Wii with hacks?
3) Do you overheat your Wii?
4) Has your Wii had any past trauma?
5) Do you have younger siblings who play with your Wii?
6) If yes to Q.5, do they abuse your Wii in ANY way?
7) Is that the ONLY reason you signed up to C3?

Don't worry, you can tell us.Smilie

It requires great courage to look at oneself honestly, and forge one's own path.

Lol, not the only reason...just the one that pushed me over the edge. To answer:
1. Nope, it's all my region
2. No hacks
3. No, plenty of space around it
4. No trauma
5. No kids in the house
6. N/A
Oh, and no other games have problems...I've played Zelda for hours at a time with no problems. I'm convinced it's a software glitch, and am going to give big N a call on Monday.

ZOMG!!! Wii has 50% failure rate! Suxxorz 4 us!

No Longer Temporarily Banned.

When I got tales of symphonia for xmas the first disk loaded fine but when when you went to start game a big black screen appeared and never loaded it, nothing was wrong with the GC, and the disk was in immaculate condition.
I went back and got my money back from the shop (they didn't have any copies left) and went a bought it somewhere else.

Went home and it worked fine.

This sounds like you have a dodgy Wii or a dodgy disc, Nintendo or the store in question might be able to provide replacements for both depending on the fault. You should be fine it does sound like the game disc itself.
